The Trustees all seprfed for the whole of the year and confim that they have carried
out their duties in accordance with the Constitulion of the Charity, adopted on 16
February 2022.
Object of the Charlty
To promote the benefit of the inhabilants of the Poolbrook al￿ sumundirKJ areas of
the town of Malvem, without distinction of sex, race. political. religious or other
opinions by associating with the local aulhorities. voluntary organisations and
inhabitsnts in a common efft)rt to further health. to advan￿ education and to provide
facilities in the interests of S￿la1 welfare for recreation and leisure-time occupation
with the object of improving the conditions of life for the said inhabitants.
Background
The Charity was fonned in February 2022 in order to take over the work of the Brook
Farm Community Association (registered charity nurnber 1005869), a non-
incorporated association. Since that time. work has been ongoing to transfer the
assets of the BFCA. induding the le&se held for the community centre, to this new
charity. Permission has been granted by the Charity to trdnsfer these assets but the
legalities of sU￿endering the current lease and taking on a new one have still to be
resolved. As reported last year. we do hope the work will soon be finalised. Once
this has happened application will be made to the Charity Commission to agree to
the closure of the BFCA.

Flnances
Income Total income was £10,401.11). This was made up ofr. £8.00 donation: £8.20
bank interest and £10.386.90 transferred from the BFCA to The Octagon Community
Centre Malvem. ,
Expendlture Total expenditure was £13.946.23. This can be broken down as
follows: £339.49 Insuran￿. £100.65 Repairs & Maintenance. £60.00 Bank charges;
£12,913.67 Salary and employment cA)sts kn part-time Communty Connector,
£532.42 Miscellaneous expenses.
