Objectives and Activities
The purposes of the charity as set out in its governing document
As set out in its governing document, the object of the charity is for the public benefit through the advancement of the Christian Faith in the UK and overseas particularly but not exclusively by:
-
producing or distributing Christian Literature including video or audio recordings and other related media; and
-
encouraging the education, mentoring, coaching, training, teaching of the Christian faith.
Summary of the main activities
The trustees have had regard to the guidance issued by the Charity Commission on public benefit.
The charity provides a free Bible discipleship tool through its ‘ Bible for Life ’ website.
‘ Bible for Life ’ developed from Nick Crawley’s teaching in the churches he led over 30 years of ministry. It is designed to help men and women engage with scripture, discover its treasures for themselves, put Jesus’ teaching into practice, and live by the Spirit in His kingdom. Since 2014 the material on the website has been developed to include a combination of different learning approaches and levels of engagement. Several guest scholars have contributed to the development of the site by providing material on the Bible books they are experts in.
The ‘Bible for Life’ website was generously donated to the Bible for Life Discipleship Trust when the trust was established as Charitable Incorporated organisation on 16th February 2022. The Trust aims to continue to maintain, develop and publicise the website.

Achievements and Performance
In the twelve months to 31st March 2024 the Bible for Life ministry made progress in the following ways.
The central feature was the development of the BfL-Com ministry (which was launched at the beginning of January 2023). In the 12 months to 31st March 2024 the average number of BfL-Com openings increased by 35% to 257.
In addition:
-
BfL continued the ongoing monthly development and improvement of the Website content
-
the average monthly income increased by 30% from £380pm to around £500pm. Bible for Life is now effectively ‘self-financing’ in that there was no need for its founder to introduce any further capital
-
BfL developed its presence on Instagram, Facebook and TikTok with a campaign during Lent. BfL now has a platform on YouVersion on which we intend to place ‘stacks’ of monthly BfLComs
-
Nick Crawley was invited to lead teaching sessions at two churches, and he led two online Webinars. He led a trip to western Turkey to minister to Iranian Christians
-
BfL clarified the breadth of its ministry using the picture from the Gospels of Jesus ministering to the Apostles, disciples, and the crowds.
Apostles: Focused training ➢ Pod Coaching ➢ Training in Churches Disciples: General training
➢ Discipleship guidance in the ‘Verse by verse’ ➢ BfL-Coms ➢ Teaching at Churches Crowds: Universal teaching
➢ Social media ➢ Improving Website content
