## **Achievements and Performance** 

SORP reference Our major activity of the year was the beginning of a Water Vole Recovery and Para 1.20 Reintroduction Project. Once common in our area, a sighting of water vole is now very rare. This project has necessitated considerable investment in trail cameras, mink traps/rafts. This has been funded through generous donations and grants. Our second Bee Festival, scheduled for July, was unfortunately cancelled late in the day because of freak, unseasonal weather. A small loss was incurred for the day, 



which was recovered by a popup event distributing plants for pollinators locally. A major work party reinstated a wildflower area around Marlow Fire Station after it had been laid to lawn. A good working relationship has been developed with the service and further work will be carried out in 2024/5. These larger activities were supplemented throughout the year by wildlife themed events, including walks to appreciate swifts, bats, glow worms, bumblebees, wild orchids and butterflies as well as various practical work parties.
