**Youth Development** : Birmingham BMX Club is dedicated to empowering young individuals by providing them with opportunities to engage in the sport of BMX. The club offers access to training, mentoring, and resources to enhance their skills, self-confidence, and personal growth. 

**Community Engagement:** The club recognizes the importance of fostering strong community bonds. It organizes BMX events, competitions, and other events that bring together residents, families, and

Advancement of amateur sport, recreation, or other leisure time occupation: Birmingham BMX Club aims to promote and advance BMX riding and racing as a recreational activity for the benefit of the inhabitants of Birmingham and the surrounding areas. The club organizes BMX training sessions, events, and competitions to encourage participation and skill development in BMX bike riding.

Promotion of community participation in health recreation: The club aims to encourage community engagement in healthy recreational activities, specifically focused on BMX racing and cycling. The club provides facilities and resources for individuals of all ages and skill levels to participate in the sport of BMX, promoting physical fitness and well-being within the community.

Section D                      Achievements and Performance 

**Summary of the main achievements of the charity during the year** 

- Clubhouses full installed and the club is paying BC rent. 

- The club successfully organised a winter series comprising five rounds, providing approximately 1,500 racing opportunities. 

- Unfortunately, despite two applications for a share of the Commonwealth Games Legacy Fund, the club was not successful in securing funding for an 8m start hill. 

- We did not host a summer national event in 2023 as British Cycling could not financially support our event.  We did host a summer regional event and a club winter series. 

- The club actively supported volunteers in obtaining and expanding on their coaching badges including at the grassroots level. 

- Dylan Clayton, a British Cycling Development Coach, continues to collaborate closely with the club, providing ongoing support for its coaching initiatives.  Dylan support club coaches.

BBMXC principal funds raised are through membership, coaching and events such as Regional / National competitions, other revenue is made by coaching sessions and open track days / private hire. 

In addition, the club has a number of sponsors contributing circa £5,000 per annum. 

By investing in our club coaches and Facility BBMXC has developed a pathway for all bike riders of all ability’s from beginners to elite level 

- investment policy and objectives including any ethical investment policy adopted.
