2. Structure, Governance and Management
Afrique Integre is a registered charity governed by its governing document and by applicable charity law. The charity is managed by its trustees, who are responsible for overseeing its activities, safeguarding its assets and ensuring that its resources are used to further its charitable purposes.
The trustees serving during the reporting period were Kouame Konan and Yves Guehi. The trustees consider the skills and commitment required for the charity’s work when appointing or retaining trustees.
3. Charitable Objectives
The charity’s objective is to provide education and training to impoverished and vulnerable children and young people between 5 and 18 years of age in the United Kingdom and Côte d’Ivoire.
4. Activities and Achievements During the Year
During the year, Afrique Integre remained focused on developing its charitable purpose and supporting children and young people who may experience poverty or vulnerability. The trustees and volunteers contributed their own time and personal resources to support the charity’s activities and to help advance its educational aims.
The charity did not receive donations, grants or public funds during the reporting period. Despite the absence of external funding, trustees and volunteers supported the charity directly and incurred approximately £500 of costs for the benefit of the charity and the children it aims to support. These costs were paid personally and no repayment is expected from the charity.
5. Public Benefit
The trustees have had regard to the Charity Commission’s guidance on public benefit. The charity’s activities are intended to benefit impoverished and vulnerable children and young people aged 5–18 by improving access to education and training in the UK and Côte d’Ivoire.
6. Financial Review
The charity had no recorded receipts into its bank account during the reporting period. The year-end bank balance was £2. No donations, grants or public funds were received.
Trustees and volunteers personally funded approximately £500 of costs in support of the charity’s activities. These payments were made voluntarily, no reimbursement is expected, and they were not paid from the charity’s bank account. Accordingly, the £500 is disclosed in this report as direct personal support rather than as a payment made from charity funds.
The trustees consider the charity’s financial position to be limited but appropriate to its level of activity during the year. The trustees intend to seek appropriate donations and grants in future so that the charity can expand its educational and training activities.
7. Reserves Policy
The charity currently has very limited cash reserves. The trustees aim to maintain sufficient unrestricted funds to meet essential costs and to support the continuity of charitable activities. The reserves policy will be reviewed as the charity’s income and activities develop.
8. Statement of Trustees’ Responsibilities
The trustees are responsible for keeping proper accounting records and for preparing accounts that accurately report the charity’s receipts and payments and its assets and liabilities. The trustees are also responsible for safeguarding the charity’s assets and taking reasonable steps to prevent and detect fraud and other irregularities.

11. Voluntary Personal Support by Trustees and Volunteers
During the year, trustees and volunteers personally met approximately £500 of costs incurred in support of the charity’s work. These amounts were not paid from the charity’s bank account and the individuals concerned do not expect reimbursement. They are therefore not shown as charity cash payments in the receipts and payments account above.
