# TREASURER’S REPORT – MIDDLETON by WIRKSWORTH VILLAGE HALL (Charity 1197884) 2022/2023 

Please find a copy of the full, detailed spreadsheet for 1[st] March 2022 to 28[th] February 2023 for Middleton by Wirksworth Village Hall accounts and a copy of the trial balance for the same period. The accounts have kindly been reviewed and accepted by Rob Rawlinson FIMA on 15[th] May 2023. 

The major issue in this financial year is that the charity is moving towards a CIO Foundation charity in the name of Middleton by Wirksworth Village Hall (Charity 1197884). In addition to development of the associated constitution, a new bank account has been created at Lloyds Bank. 

It is therefore necessary to review this report for the new charity in conjunction with the report for the original charity (1017608) to obtain the full picture for the hall for 2022/2023. 

## LLOYDS CURRENT ACCOUNT (CIO Charity) 

The opening balance in the account at 1[st] March 2022 was £0.0; it is a new account. 

## INCOME 

It has been a successful year for the hall as the Covid restrictions have been lifted and normal usage resumed, leading to total income of some £23,941 for the financial year which includes a transfer of £20,000 from the original charity. Transactions started to be made to this account progressively from late November so the figures only represent  three months activities. 

To look at the year in some detail, the major sources of income were: 

- a) Transfer of £20,000 from the original charity (1017608) 

- b) The school continues as a major source of income providing £2,250 this year 

- c) The Wrestling Club, Peak Ballet and Private Parties each contributed around £415 in rental income. 

## EXPENSES 

The total expenditure across the year in running the hall was £2,662. 

Looking at the expenditure in some detail, we see: 

- a) LICENCES – rental payment to Fisher German for the hall since implementation of the new agreements were £2,054 

- b) CLEANER – costs incurred to date are £559
