Section D Achievements and performance

Section D Achievements and performance In the 2024/25 year, we produced three performances: the World Summary of the main Premiere of Stuart Mitchell’s Seven Wonders Suite (attended by his achievements of the charity family as he died a couple of years ago), Spies! and Questa’s Big during the year Christmas Singalong. All concerts were a great success and turned a small profit. We also raised money for other charities at these concerts. Stuart Mitchell’s family were hugely supportive and appreciative of our performance of his work, and have asked to keep in touch to attend future projects. The first two concerts were held at The O2 Academy, Bournemouth, and Christmas was held at The Spire, Poole. During this period, our members have continued to successfully sit music exams through the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music.

Section E Financial review

Brief statement of the

charity’s policy on reserves

The main financial risk to the charity is low ticket sales and reduced donations, particularly considering nervousness amongst audiences following the COVID-19 pandemic. Many producers and promoters are still saying that audience numbers are continuing to be way below prepandemic numbers. Sufficient funds are held to cover 3 months running costs and to offset against the cost of forthcoming concerts in the event of insufficient ticket sales, and to meet any unforeseen expenditure that may occur.

Details of any funds materially Not applicable in deficit
