Section D Achievements and erformance p In the 2022/23 year, we produced four performances. Video Games in **Summary of the main** Concert in May 2022, followed by Symphonic Cinema in September and **achievements of the charity** the usual Christmas concert in December, featuring Stella Natalis by Sir **during the year** Karl Jenkins. In March 2023, we performed a concert featuring the Fauré Requiem and Requiem Pandemus. All concerts were a great success and turned a small profit. During this period, three of our members sat music exams through the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music and Trinity College London: a Grade 5 Singing exam was passed, a Grade 8 Singing exam was passed with Merit (both ABRSM), and one of our sopranos earned the Licentiate of Trinity College London diploma (LTCL).

## **Section E Financial review**
During this period, we converted from an unincorporated charity (charity **Brief statement of the** number 1178014) to a CIO (this one). During this period, operations and **charity’s policy on reserves** finances were passed over in phases from the old charity to the new CIO, with the final trading day of the old charity being 31/03/2023. After this point the Trustees have instructed the CEO to apply to the Charity Commission to strike the old charity from the charity register. The old charity had £0 in its accounts, and no outstanding debts or liabilities as all these had been passed to this new CIO by that date. For this new CIO, cash at bank on 31/03/2022 was £11861.57 in unrestricted funds. The main financial risk to the charity is low ticket sales and reduced donations, particularly considering nervousness amongst audiences with ongoing COVID-19 issues. The funds are held to cover 3 months running costs and to offset against the cost of forthcoming concerts in the event of insufficient ticket sales, and to meet any unforeseen expenditure that may occur. **Details of any funds materially** Not applicable **in deficit**

I report to the trustees on my examination of the accounts of the above charity (“the Trust”) for the year ended 31/03/2023.
**Responsibilities and** As the charity trustees, you are responsible for the preparation of the **basis of report** accounts in accordance with the Charities Act 2011 (“the Act”).
I report in respect of my examination of the Trust’s accounts carried out under section 145 of the 2011 Act and in carrying out my examination, I have followed all the applicable Directions given by the Charity Commission under section 145(5)(b) of the Act.
## **Independent examiner's statement**
I have completed my examination. I confirm that no material matters have come to my attention in connection with the examination which gives me cause to believe that in, any material respect:
- the accounting records were not kept in accordance with section 130 of the Act; or
- the accounts did not accord with the accounting records; or
- • the accounts did not comply with the applicable requirements concerning the form and content of accounts set out in the Charities (Accounts and Reports) Regulations 2008 other than any requirement that the accounts give a ‘true and fair’ view which is not a matter considered as part of an independent examination.
I have no concerns and have come across no other matters in connection with the examination to which attention should be drawn in this report in order to enable a proper understanding of the accounts to be reached.
