STUDENTS IN THE STORIA FLYN r4¥
This year, Chester University, Edge Hill University and Liverpool John Moore's University approached us, and we have now become an essential component of their University Nurse and Counselling education program. Consequently, the initiative has experienced growth as other departments have become involved. Presently, we have the active participation of students from the following disciplines: nurses, psychology, and paramedics. We have received 99.8% positive feedback from the University, which is responsible for evaluating the quality of mental health training and community needs. This feedback demonstrates that our nursing program is not only focused on bedside care, but also actively involves practical experience in the community.
This program is expected to become an essential component of the training provided to nurses, counsellors, and paramedics who are focused on addressing the needs of patients once they are prepared to regain control of their lives and develop effective coping strategies. This enhances the students' capacity to interact with patients during their most vulnerable moments and witness their triumph over obstacles, which we teach here at Flynn's to assist patients in managing their emotions and challenges in their own homes. Flynn's is honored to have been selected to participate in this innovative program.

We plan to persist in our enthusiastic efforts and further enhance the outstanding
Charity of the Year for Cheshire Oaks, a recognition that fills us with great pride. Here is a link to the story written by the local newspaper; Cheshire Oaks Designer Outlet pledges support to Ellesmere Port charity | InYourArea Community
We are implementing an outreach programme to extend our services to patients who are not actively involved and are being overlooked, resulting in them silently suffering without support.
We will be cultivating more robust connections through the Mental Health Alliance and with our current affiliations, namely John Moores University, Chester University, Edge Hill University, and the NHS commissioners.
We will maintain our collaboration with the Cheshire West Primary care team, and we will also be actively seeking long-term support to ensure our ongoing viability.
There has been no decrease in the number of individuals seeking treatment for mental health problems, whether it is for mild cases that require minimal intervention or for more severe cases that necessitate medication and involuntary hospitalisation. The statistics consistently show an upward trend, possibly due to increased knowledge and less social stigma surrounding mental health, as well as the mounting pressures of modern life. The current repercussions and consequences of the Covid epidemic are becoming evident as is the economic climate as a whole.
Regardless of what the upcoming year has for Flynn's history, we are confident that our dedicated team of managers, staff, and volunteers will handle it with ease and continue to
provide an outstanding mental health service from our base in Ellesmere Port and
throughout cheshire and Wirral.
WE WOULD LIKE TO OFFER OUR VERY SINCERE THANKS TO:
All the staff, volunteers and companies who have believed and supported the mission of Flynn’s Port in the Storm the success that it is today.
With Thanks to all our supports past present and future, here is too building stronger resistance and good mental health
