**Objects:** TO ADVANCE, IMPROVE, DEVELOP, AND MAINTAIN PUBLIC EDUCATION IN, AND APPRECIATION OF, THE ART OF BRASS BAND MUSIC MAKING IN ALL ITS ASPECTS BY ANY MEANS THE TRUSTEES SEE FIT, INCLUDING PARTICIPATION IN COMPETITIONS AND THE PRESENTATION OF PUBLIC EVENTS.

**Activities:** The charity is considered the oldest musical institution in Reading, Berkshire with a history that dates to 1899.  It has always aimed to support any member of the public, including young people, who can play a brass band instrument and wishes to join. Particularly those members of the public who demonstrate a positive attitude, approach, and team commitment to the art of brass band music making.
