The Financial Statements have been prepared in accordance wth the accounting policies set out in Note 1 of the Accounts and comply with the Statement of Recommended Practice ISORPI Applicable to Charities Preparing their Accounts in a¢¢ordan¢e vthh the Financial Report Stsndard applicable in the UK and Ireland IFRS1021 (effective 1 January 20151 and the Companies Act 2006. This report also represents the Directors Report as required by the Companies Act 2006. The Trustees have had regard to the Charity Commission's guidance on public benefit. This report is in accordance with the SORP requirements and exemptions sel out for smaller charth'es. 08JECTIVES AND ACTIVITIES Obj8ctlVo$ and alms Hatzola Herts is a communty-based emergency ambulance servicE and responder netr￿rk, committed lo providing rapid. hi9lFquality care lo the local community. Our service is free al the point of delivery and operated by trained, well-equipped and professional volunleecs. The organisats'on 1$ enty'rely funded by charitable donations. We are proud lo have over 100 dedicated volunteers. wDrking in close partnership with the NHS and the East ol England Ambulance Servi¢e. Our teams are on tall 24 hours a day. 7 days 3 week. 365 days a year. Since its inception, the ¢harty has responded to over 1,000 emergency calls, ranging from minor injuries lo life-threatening incidents. Hattola Hert$ provi¢Je$ expert prfrho$pital care and transports patients lo hospilal using our modem, fully equipped ambulance fleet. Since achieving charitable status in February 2022. we have continued to expand our operations in Elslree and 8orehamwood and are currently exploring plans lo extend services into Bushey, Hertfordshire. In January 2023 we were proud lo receive an overall"Good' rating follow'ng an inspection by the Care Qualty Commission ICQCI, r￿09n1S1ng our commitment to hwh Standards of care and Service delivery. This year, our primary objectives included.. Securin9 the long-lerm financial sustainability of the ¢harrty'. Expanding both frontline and operational infrastrU￿Ure to support current $erwces and luture grovAh', Investing in key capital assets, includin9 new defibrillators. an additional ambulance. and an upgraded 4G radio communicatK)n system. We also continued lo locus on community engagement and education. We launched initiatives aimed al youth health and wellbeing, including first aid training for children aged 10-15. In addits'on, we have now trained over 150 adults through our Community First Aid Responder courses, vthich conts'nue to be delivered regularly. We were honoured to be selected as the Mayor of Hertsmere's chosen charty for the year, a recognition that not only raised our public profile but also provitleil invaluable supptsrt In our fundraising efforts and communty outreach initiatives. Volunteer development remains a comerslone of our mission. We have enhanced volunteer training programmes to further develop clinical skills and operational excellence. A major fundraising campaign was successfully undertaken during the year, helping to ensure the continuity of our operations. Funds raised have supported a wde range of essential costs, induding.. While a reserves policy has not yet been formalty established - due to the charity's relativety recent formation it remains a key area lor future considerat￿n by the Board of Trustees.
