Para 1.20 | Sunday Services were held at Shirley Methodist Church on every Sunday afternoon and total attendance increased from 150 to nearly 300 people, majority were people immigrating from Hong Kong with BNO Visa recently, on every Sunday. More than 12 cell groups were formed to group members with similar background in order to foster spiritual bonding among them. Cell groups held regular meetings on bible studies and social gatherings. Youth ministry was setup to cater the needs of pastoral care for youth. More than 60 youths joined the Youth Group. Basketball and Badminton training and gathering for Youth ministry also launched in the second half of 2022. Children Sunday School continued in 2022 with more than 60 children joined. The Children ministry transformed the Sunday School program to AWANA starting from Sep 2022 for building children’s Biblical knowledge and faith in Jesus Christ. Pastor team conducted regular visits to newly joined members and current members for pastoral caring. The Church also hold and joined events with other local Church such as the Easter Services, Christmas Carol Singing, Christmas Services and Her Majesty Platinum Jubilee event to build the relationship with local community. |
