Annual report for January to December 2025
“Summary of the main achievements of the charity, identifying the difference the charity’s work has made to the circumstances of its beneficiaries and any wider benefits to society as a whole.”
-
At the beginning of 2025, Mission Rwentobo provided funds to upgrade the solar power system which included the installation of new solar panels, batteries and inverters. This has provided a reliable source of electricity which provides 24hr lighting, including at night.
-
MR also funded fibre optic WiFi connectivity to improve external communication.
-
Extra funds were raised in order to create the external infrastructure, internal conversions and equipment required in order to provide full maternity services, including the delivery of babies. The maternity unit was opened in December 2025 and is now providing safe deliveries of babies, reducing the risk of complications.
-
Funding was provided for a nurse to upgrade from enrolled to diploma level, thus increasing the skills of the clinical team.
“Achievements against objectives set”
Trustees had set the objective for the maternity unit to be opened by the end of September but, due to delays with installing equipment, it finally opened in December 2025.
“Performance of fundraising activities against objectives set.”
Mission Rwentobo were able to raise more than enough funds to meet the objectives set in 2025’
