From January to December 2023. Hope
Community Cllnic was u8ed by 4.832 people
from the Rwentobo communty. OF those,
375 were $88n for family planning, 233 for
antenatal and postnatal care and 1,612
babies received routine immunisats'ons.
2.889 patients atterbded outpatients with
acuie illness and were assessed by the
dinical officer. A totsl of 2,851 lab te6ts were
done and appropriate, safe medication w88
di8pen8ed when indicated. 294 people were
treated for malaria and 417 patlents who
re 8eriou$ly111 required ovemtght
admission for 1 or 2 nights. Some were
referred to Kisiizi Hospital or govemment
referral units rf they requlred higher level

60% of ts people who were 8een at the
dinic were covered by the Kisiizi Health
Insurance Scheme. This scheme has made
a real difference to those in the ￿MmUnty
who have been able to join insurance
groups. for a very low annual premium, in
order to give them access to low cost
heatthcare at the clinic or lQ6iizi HO8￿tal. It
has been noted that people who are covered
by the scheme wesent much sooner when
they have acute hearth problems, which
means that the disease can be treated
ore it worsens and admissions are greatly
reduced. In 2023, there were 3 insurance
groups: Rwentobo A with 275 members in
family groups. Ntungamo Girls High School
had 829 members arKI World Shine Primary
School had 789 members.

wlth Support from the Rwentobo Sisters who
are catholic nuns who reach oui to those in
need in the communit . 17 schools and

churches were visited for health education
talks. There were al80 10 home visbts which
ere requested by the Rwentobo Sisters for
those who wern unable to reath the clinic.
