**Objects:** THE OBJECTS OF THE CIO ARE:(1) TO ADVANCE PUBLIC EDUCATION IN THE LOCAL HISTORY OF EAST LEAKE AND DISTRICT , IN PARTICULAR BUT NOT EXCLUSIVELY BY:(A) PROVIDING LECTURES AND VISITS. (B) FACILITIES FOR THE COLLECTION OF RECORDS, DOCUMENTS, PHOTOGRAPHS AND OTHER MATERIALS RELATING TO THE LOCAL AREA AND TO SYSTEMATICALLY RECORD THIS INFORMATION AND MAKE IT AVAILABLE IN THE VILLAGE TO THE PUBLIC AT LARGE.(2) TO UNDERTAKE RESEARCH IN LOCAL HISTORY AND TO DISSEMINATE THE USEFUL RESULTS OF THIS RESEARCH FOR THE PUBLIC AT LARGE.

**Activities:** To advance public education in and to encourage study of local history through lectures and visits, to provide a focus for the collection of records, documents, photographs and other materials concerning the locality, to record this systematically and to make it available at a suitable place in the village for the benefit of the communities of East Leake and District.
