The C&TA run a wide range of Costume and Textile related events, both in person and online, for members to enjoy. From ticket sales money is raised primarily to support the work of the Norfolk Museum Service (NMS). Fund raising is entirely reliant on membership fees and on members and the wider public attending events, talks and displays. C&TA books and publications, are available for sale on the website and at events.

C&TA have a varied resource costume and textile collection that is used for fashion shows, to enhance displays and to stimulate interest.

The online events programme devised during the Pandemic to keep members in touch, and for them to have events to look forward to with like-minded people, has continued to great aclaim.

The Crafty Chat events were particularly beneficial to those members living alone, at a time when we were not allowed to meet in person. They proved so successful that we have continued them.

The C&TA trustees have a wide range of abilities, skills and interests to draw on when devising the programmes of events. The trustees receive no remuneration for their tireless efforts, apart from expenses.

The C&TA works closely with NMS disseminating news and collaborating on some events for members. The list of donations since C&TA’s inception are available on the website: https://www.ctacostume.org.uk/donations.html

## **Financial Review**

CCLA Investment Management Ltd: CCLA is the UK’s largest charity fund manager and is where the majority of the C&TA’s funds are held.

COIF Charities Investment Fund: A long-term, sustainable investment solution which incorporates environmental, social and governance (ESG) considerations into the investment strategy. Suitable for all charities looking for a good level of distributions and protection from inflation. The fund aims to provide a long-term total return comprising growth in capital and distributions.

As part of the accounts held by the C&TA, we have certain sums reserved for specific purposes:

Geoffrey Squire Bursary, held bi-annually

The Bellerophon tapestry: a NMS treasure that needs restoration

Clabburn fund: given by the family in the name of the C&TA’s founder, to engage eminent speakers for events

## **The Future**

The C&TA will continue to support NMS in their aims and ambitions

The C&TA will continue to support the Fashion and the Textile students at Norwich University of the Arts (NUA), through the C&TA student award and the Helen Hoyte student award, also by giving talks and demonstrations.

The C&TA will try to engage with members and the wider community as widely as possible bringing Costume and Textiles to the fore.
