The Soham Moor Old Grammar School Fund is a small Charity based in Soham, Ely in the UK. The Charity own5
and managed agricultural land. adjoined by a lakè withirh the parish. The rents received together with income
from its cash investments make up the charitls annual income.
The charlty undertake5 no fundrdising and works hard to keep costs low to be able to distribute as much
incorne as possible to its beneliciaries.
Governance.
The Soham Moor Old Grammar School Fund is a Charitsble Incorporated Organisation with the date of its
consritution being 28, January 2022. The charity has a rich and interesting history with the previous scheme,
relating to the charity by the same name dated 13, August 1985. Although the predates this scheme. The
charity contfnues to revitsli5e its policies.
Reserves Poli
The charity is working towards having two years, worth of expenditure at hand. Trustees are satisfied that cash
investments are sufficient in the meantime and are working on a review of the investrnent policy.

Throughout 2024125 year the charity had 6 trusteès. Peter Taylor resigned durin8 the year. The Trustees were
as follows.

3.1 to promote educate lincludln8 social and physical training) of youn8 per50n5 who are or who have recently
been pupils of any school in Soham. Cambridgeshire, and who the charity tru5tee5 consider to be in need of
tinancial asslstance and in parfcLJlar, with without prejudlce to the generality of the foregoing.
3.1.1 by awarding such youn8 person's scholarships or maintenance allowances tenable at any school.

approval for the purpose by the charity trustees.
3.1.2 by providing or contrlbuting towards such special benefits of any kind not normally providèd by the local

Upon review and following feedback the trustees noted that they create the rnost impact by supporfjng local
schools. Resources and income are limited and further marketing to incrèase local awareness of individual
grant giving, would outweigh impart and deflated from the good work in schools.

The trustee5 met on three oceasions throughout the year including a tour of the estate with tenants, listening
to feedback and discussin8 issues.
The tharity was advised by Its retained agents Cheflins in respert of the estate, Fenn Wright its specialÈst
advisors for the lake and charity specialist solicltors HCR Hewitsons in respect of its governance.
The Charity h35 no ernployees but retains a clerk 5elf-employed vla Mlllard Consultants and an accountant.
The charity looks to mana8e the estate prudentially being rnindful that part of the estate falls within a SSSI and
as suth they regularly liaise with National England and the Wildlife Trust, a local landowner and tenant.
