Objects: (1) For The Maintenance Of The Almshouses(2) Subject To (1) The Trustees Shall Apply The Income Of The CIO For The Benefit Of The Almspeople Ofthe CIO Or Any Of Them In Such Manner As The Charity Trustees Think Fit From Time To Time Or To Make Grantsof Money To Individuals Or To Other Charities In Each Case For The Relief Of Those In Need Who Are Thenresiding Within 13 Miles From The Said Almshouses (Without Fettering Their Discretion The Charity Trustees Areto Have Particular Regard To The Relief Of The Homeless, Preventing People From Becoming Homeless Andenabling Elderly Or Sick People In Need To Remain In Their Homes And Avoid Or Delay Their Entry Toinstitutional Care); And(3) The Almspeople Shall Be Persons Of Good Character Who Are In Need Of Accommodation Such Asthe Almshouses Can Provide And Who (Except In Special Cases To Be Approved By The Charity Commission)have Resided Or Whose Close Relatives Have Resided Within A Radius Of 13 Miles From The Said Almshousesfor Not Less Than Two Years Next Preceding The Time Of Appointment With Particular Regard Being Had Tothose Who Live Or Have Lived In Stanton-By-Dale For A Period Of More Than 2 Years.
