Summary of the purposes of the charity as set out in its governing document	Para 1.17	To provide primarily rehabilitaton and rescue services within the United Kingdom but predominantly the North East of England, for marine mammals that are in danger or in a positon where rehabilitaton and rescue is required by providing trained volunteers to look afer these animals at a set site or in a shore side or river environment, and also to provide educaton and enrichment for the wider communitythough our work.

Para 1.17 and 1.19	Volunteers for Tynemouth Seal Hospital have given, during the above period, approximately 2,200 hours of voluntary time seeking the rehabilitation of 8 common (harbour) seals, Of these animals, 5 were rehabilitated to release and 3 were too weak to survive. To undertake this work, we received donations from the general public totalling £3921. During this time we spent £4245, broken down thusly: (all figures are rounded to the nearest whole number): £2085 (49%) was spent on equipment for the seal hospital. £681 (16%) was spent on consumables for everyday use in the seal hospital. £647 (15%) was spent on veterinary costs. £449 (11%) was spent on maintenance and repair of existing equipment in the seal hospital £195 (5%) was spent on charity administration costs. £70 (2%) was spent on frozen fish. £80 (2%) was spent on travel and transport expenses £35 (1%) was spent on merchandise to sell.

		Representatives from our charity have been active in giving talks to local groups and schools who are interested in our work.
