during the year.
The TTuslees have paid due iegard to guidance sssued by the Charity Commission in deading what activities the
charity should undertake.
During this finanual yèar. E￿t has sought to consolidate our position as a charity and develop partftetship working,
to widen awareness ol the work we do and develop fvrthei opportunities for growth.
LOO￿.ng ahead the charity feels its widening audience with regard to both support req￿sted and also growing
partnership work ceflects the charity's growtng stature within our field of work and we will o)ntinue lo look for furthef
opportunitie5 to reduce extremi5ffl wa education, compa55ion and understanding while advocating all extremism
and violence is wrong.
Seeking lo support people many walk away from, we don'l and believe thè bèst way of reducing extièmism is by
going lo the core of the problem i.e., extrernisls involved and thèn try and persuade them lo change their lives and
walk away from a life of hate.
Not easy. we understand many people involved in extremism are victims. not monsters and we believe by seeing
people as individuals first, not extremists, positive change is possible through dedicated 5UPPOrt by people with lived
experience. who offer full support. without judgem8nl.
Having supported 42 in-depth cases this year and 115 others who did not need long-tem) support, we a￿ pleased
lo say that all families helped lell supported and all those that were supportive of extremism er(her stopped
supporting extremist narratives completely or reduced thèir support for extremism after engagement and support.
Financial review
Consolidating work with MOPAC In London and META foi support with their rediiéd programme, Exit Hale Is
conscious of the need for lonTrlerni fundingwith regard lo trying to challenge and redu¢e th8 impact of
extremism on indiwduals, their families and the wider COTnmurity. As such Exil Hate is ¢urrendy applying for mults"_

finanaal perforniance for the year.
It is the policy of the ch8rty that unrestliLled fijrhds which have not been designated for a specific use should be
maintained at a level equivalent to betsveen three and six month'5 expènditure. The Trustees ¢onsider thal reserves
at Ihis level will ensuie that. in the event of a significant drop in funding. they will be able to continue the charty's
