Events
JRF Golf Day May 2024. We doubled the size & partlclpatign of thls eventfrom the prevlous year and it was a great success both
in term5 of building our network of support and fundrai5ingfor the foundation.
JRF Yorkshlre 3 Peaks Challen8e Jun 2024. We launched our flrst hlkln8 challen8e and It Was è 8re£t succe55 wlih 45 people
taking part in this one-day event. It was built Èr¢und a weekend so lots of opportunlty for teèm bulldln8, awareness and fundra151ng.
We had great feedback froFn individua15 and corporate teatn5 that took part and have decided to grow this event for the followin8
year.
JRF Cycle Challenge Sep 2024. We launched our first ryclin8 event in SardiniB. a 3 day challenge taking ridÈrs from the North East
to the south East of the Island. 35 people took part 8nd it was an incredible achievement for ?11, with a significant amount of money
ra55ed for the foundètion. A8ain the decision has been made to repeat a cycling challenge in a Similar forrnat for the next year.
JRF Burn5 Supper Jan 2025. Thls event did raise fund5, however it was tnore targpted as bein8 an Informal celebration forfriends
and faTnily of the foundation. It Succeeded in further ra15ing awarenes5 of the work Gf the founttaticn and buildin8 on the 5UPPOrt
network we have ichleved.

We report to the trustees on our examination of the financial statements of Jason Robinson
Foundation (the charity) for the year end8d 31 January 2025.
ResponsSbllitlo5 and basls of report
As the Iruslees of the charity you are responsible for the preparation of the financial statements in
accordance wlh the requirernenls of the Charities Act 2011 Ilhe 2011 Act).
We report in respect of our examination of the charity's financial slamenls carried out under section
145 of the 2001 Act, in carwng out our examination, we have followed all the applicable directions
given by the Charity Commission under section 14515llb) of the 2011 Act.
Independent examlnerfs statement
The charitys gross income exceeded £250,000 and l am qualified lo undertake the examination by
being a qualified member (fellow) of the Chartered Inslilule of Management Acwunlants.
Your attention is drawn lo the fact that the charity has prepared financial slalemenls in accordan
with Accounting ar¢d Reporting by Charities preparing their accounts in accordance wlh the
Financial Reporting Standard applicable in the UK and Republic of Ireland IFRS 102) in preference
lo the Accounting and Reporting by Charities.. Slalemenl of Recommended Practice issued on 1
April 2005 which is referred lo in the exlanl regulations bul has now been withdrawn.
We understand that this ha5 bcen done in order for financial slalemenls lo provide a true and fair
view in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Practice effective for reporting periods on
or after 1 January 2015.
We have completed our examination and we can confirm that no matters have come lo our
attention in connection wlh the examination giving us cause lo believe that in any material respect=
1. accounting records were not kept in respect of the charity as required under section 130 of the
2011 Act", or
2. the financial statements éo not accord wlh those records, or
3. the financial slalemenls do not comply with the applicable requirements concerning the form and

Tangible fixed assets are measured at cost less accumulative depre¢iation and any accLJmulalive impaimient

Investments
Investrnenls in subsidiaries, associates and joint ventu￿$ are measured al cost less any accumulated impairment

value cannot be measured reliably, in which case they are measured at cosl less any accumulated impairrnenl
losses. Changes in fair value are included in the Profil and Ios5 account.
Stocks
Stock5 are trtea5ured al the lower ol cost and estirnated selling price less costs lo complete and sell. Cost is
determined using the first first out tnelhod. The carwng amount of stock sold is recognised as an expense in
the period in which the related revenue is recognised.
Debtors
Short term debtors are measured at transaction price Iwhich 15 Usually the invoice pricèl. less any impairment
losses for bad and doubtful debts. Loans and other financial assets are initially recognised al transaction pnce
including any transaction costs and 5ub5equenlly measured 81 amortised cost delemiined using the effective
interest method. less any impaimienl losses for bad and doubtful debts.

Creditors
Short term creditors ale measured at transaction price Iwhich is usually the invoice piicel. Loans and other
ftnancial liabililles are initially recognised al transaction price net of any Iransaction costs and subseouenfjy
measured al 2mortised cost determined using the effective interest method.
Provlslons

date as a result of a past event. il is probable that economic benefit will be transferred to serfe the obligation and
the amount ol the obligation be estimated reliably.
Foreign ¢urrency translation
Transactions in foreign currencies are inib'ally recognised at the rale of exchange ruling al the dale of the
transaction. At the end of each reporting period foreign currency monetsry items are translated at the closing rate
of exchange. Non-monètary itèms that are measured at historical cost are translated al the rale ruling at the date
of the transacts'on. All differences are charged lo profit or loss.
Leas8d assets
A lease is classified as a finance lease if il transfers substantially all the risks and rewards incidental to
ownership. All other leases are Classified a5 Qpeialing leases. The rights ol use and obligation5 under finance
leases are initially recognised as assets and liabilities al arnounls equal to the fair value of the leased assets or, if
lower. the prèsènt value ol thè minimum lease payments. MinimLJm lease payments are apportioned between the
finance charge and the reduction in the outstanding liability using the effective Interest rate method. The finance
charge is allocated lo each perioé during the lease so as lo produce a constant periodic rale of interest on the
refflaining balance of the liability. Leased assets are depre¢ialed in accordance with the Company's policy for
tangible fixed assets. If ihere is no TeasDnable certainty that ownership will be obiained al the end of the lease

recognised as an expense on a slraighl line basis over the lease lem.

Endowment fvnds are Subject to specific conditions by donors that the capital musl be maintained by the
charity.

Policies relating lo categories of income and income recognition.
Income is recognised when the charity is legally enlilled lo il after any perforTnance conditions have been mel, the
amournls can be measured ￿lIablY. and il is probable that the income will be recelved.
Cash donations are recognised upon receipt. Other donations are recogni5ed once th8 charity has been notified
of the donation, unless performanre conditions require deferral of the amounl. Income tax recoverable in relaliorÈ
lo donations received under Gift Aid or deeds of covenant Is Tecognised al the time of donation.

Legacies are recognised opon receipt or othemise il the charity has been notified of an impending distribution,
the amoLJnt is known, and receipt is expected. If the amoLtnt is not known the legacy is Irealed as a conb'ngent
asset.
Expendlture
Expenditure is recognised once there is a legal or conslruclive obligation lo transfer economic benefit lo a third
party, il 15 probable that a transfer of economic benèfits will be required in settlernent, and the amount of the
obligation Can be measured reliably.
Expenditure is classified by activity. The costs of each activity are made up of the lolal of direct costs and shared
Costs, including support costs involved in undertaking each acii'vity. Direct costs attributable lo a single activity are
allocated directly to that activity. Shared costs which corilribule lo more than one a¢livity and support costs which
a￿ not attributable lo a slng1e activity are apportioned between those activities on a basis consislenl with thè use
of re50urcEs. Cenlral staff costs are allocated on the basi5 01 lime spent, and depreciation charges are allocated
on the portion of the asset's use

Basic financial liabilities
Basic financial liabilities. including Creditors and bank loans are initially recognised at Iransacbon price unless the
arrangement constitutes a financing transaction, where the debt instrument is measured al the present value of
the future payments di5wunled at a market rate of interest. Finanaal liabilities classified as payable within one
year are not amortised.
Debt instruments are subsequently carried al amortised cost, using the effective interest rale method.
Trade creditors are obligab'ons to pay for goods o¥ services that have been acquired In the ordinary course of
operations from suppliers. Amounts payable are classified as cu￿ent liabilities if payment is due within one year
or less. If not, they are presented as non4tJrrenl liabilities. Trade creditors are recognised initially al transaction
price and subsequently measured at amortised cost using the effective inlerest method.
1.9121 Employoe boneflts
The cost of any unused holiday enlrf(lement is re￿gnised in the period in which the employee's Services are
received.
Temiinalion benefits are recognised immediately as an expense when the charity is demonstrably commltted lo
terminate the employment of an employee or lo provide teminalion benefits.
Critical accounting estimates and judgements
In the application of the charity's accounting policies, the Iruslees are iequired to make judgements, estimates
and assumptions abtsul the carrying amount of assets and liabilities that are not readily apparent from othèr
sources. The estimates and associated assufflplions are based on historical experience and other factors that are
considered lo be relevant. Actual results may differ from these estimate5.
The estimates and underlying assumptions are reviewed on an ongotng basls. Revisions lo accounting eslimales
are recognised in the period in which the estimate is revised wher8 the revision affects only that period, or in the
period of the ￿vIsion and fLtlure periods where the revision affects both current and fulure periods.
