its Memorandum and Articles of Association da*d 27 August 2021. The company was registered as a charity with
the Ch￿lty Commission on 25 January 2022. En the event of th¢ company being wound up. members are required to .
contribute an ami)iiot not exceeding £1.
The trustees are from a variety of professional backgrounds relevant to the work of the charity. Wthen estsblishing
the charity. considentiort was ￿¥¢A to the skills. input and experience needed to facilitste the achievemeni of its
objectiV¢S, as well as ensuring that some of the tnLStees were inde￿nden1 (i.¢. not ernployees of a member).
As set out in the Articles of Association. trnstres may ￿ apw)inted by ordinary resolution {of either the members or.

such risks have been identified and rnitigated where necw.

The charity'5 objects and priDcipal activiues are the relief of [￿ancial har<tship of persons who are permaThentty
employed by HCA International Limited and the De￿ndants of Such persons by providing grants to
individuaJ5. 'Dependants' for these purposes means spouse4 civil partslers. C￿habitIng partner5, thildren (including
step Children) ull¢kr the age of eighteen attd children (including step children) over the age of eighteen who are stiu
in fvll time education or who are fmancially dependent on the employee due to a physical or mentsl impaim)ent.

Funds are usedto provide fuwicial a&sisranc¢toper50ns employed by HCA International L￿lted￿nd the Dependants
of such persons (as setout atM)ve) by means of provision of grants. Grants apwoved during th¢ year amounted to £Thil.

the period starting 27 Augu4 2021 and ending 31 Decern￿r 2022 (the"PerioJ ertded 2022").
Principulf¥nding 504r¢es
In December 2023, the Board of HCA Inter￿iOnal Limiwl approved a [K0￿Sed donation of £250.000 to be made
by HCA tniernational Limited to HCA Hope Fund UK during 2024. An initial payment of £IOO,000 w&$ approved
and paid in March 2024. and the remainder was approwed in August 2024 and paid in September 2024.
Further filnding is from donations by employees of HCA In*m*ional Limired and fiJndrAiSirtg events.
Policy on ruerves
The reserves were origillally established by the Memorandurn of Articles and A5S(Kiation and are to be invested by
the ￿$t¢¢5 in furtherdnce of the objects of the charity.
The trustees have examined the th2rity'S requÉrernents for reserves. Grants will be restricted to a level whereby
sufficient reserves are retained to ensure the ongoing viability of the charity. This approach rs subject to a]￿Ual
review.

As any irtcome from donations received is io be applied as per the charity's Objec￿ there are limited bjnds for long
temi investment. Having considered the options available, th¢ In]*ees have decided to invest the reserves in
interest-beaTing derAisiI account which yiel(Ls a higher rdte of interest while still allowing day to day access to the
funds.
