|Summary of the main<br>achievements of the charity,<br>identifying the difference the<br>charity’s work has made to<br>the circumstances of its<br>beneficiaries and any wider<br>benefits to society as a<br>whole.|Para 1.20|**Clwb Ein Harglwyddes, a small setting**<br>**has successfully managed to sustain**<br>**the business through financially**<br>**challenging times in the last 4 years,**<br>**working together to promote the service**<br>**to the wider community, reduce working**<br>**hours and seek to become more**<br>**bilingual to allow the service to access**<br>**more grants.**<br>**Clwb Ein Harglwyddes allows many of**<br>**our families to work, and for our**<br>**youngest children in day care this may**<br>**give many parents time to study.**<br>**Funded places allow our most**<br>**vulnerable children a safe space to play**<br>**and receive regular snacks.**<br>**The staff have actively worked to**<br>**develop an improved outdoor space for**<br>**children to explore and play.**<br>**Staff have developed skills in online**<br>**safety, Makaton and planning for child**<br>**led learning.**<br>**Staff continue to promote independence**<br>**and encourage child voice in each of the**<br>**sessions.**|

|Review of the charity’s<br>financial position at the end<br>of the period|Para 1.21|**The financial year 22 – 23 has been the**<br>**most challenging for the service with a**<br>**fall in service users due to the long term**<br>**impact of Covid.**<br>**We ended the year with a loss of £4358,**<br>**leaving the closing bank balance at**<br>**£5779, slightly eating into the reserves.**<br>**However, a financial review and**<br>**evaluation identified the loss was due to**<br>**staffing costs and as a result staffing**<br>**hours have been reduced for 23 – 24 to**<br>**ensure this loss does not further impact**<br>**on the reserves.**|
