Objectives and Activities
Purpose: The object of the CIO for the public benefit is to advance the education of children in the UK, in particular but not exclusively, in the breadth of career opportunities, breaking down preconceived stereotypes, by providing diverse career role models; learning activities focused on developing a broad set of skills with the objective of strengthening self-belief and self-confidence; and resources for schools and parents to help support their child’s learning.
Main Activities: Romodels provides opportunities for primary school pupils to discover experience and believe in a world of career possibilities regardless of background or their own lived experiences through an online learning resource for schools.
Trustees’ commitment: The trustees of Romodels adhere to guidance issued by the Charity Commission on public benefit.
Achievements and Performance
In our second year, we were able to secure funding to build our Romodels Learning Portal, a pivotal development that has greatly enhanced our capacity to influence future career aspirations. This online platform is central to our mission of helping children discover diverse career opportunities and nurturing their potential as future leaders and innovators. By leveraging technology to create an easy-to-navigate user experience, the portal provides resources that are tailored to the needs of teachers, enabling them to customise Romodels' resources to align with their school's vision.
The Romodels Technology Enabled Pilot:
Discover: The portal allows teachers to bring interactive content around four key themes: bees, climate change, football, and plastic waste into their classrooms. Using everyday objects as springboards, each theme reveals hidden careers and sparks curiosity. This is facilitated by our Romodels who share their personal and professional journeys, deepening the engagement and connection.
Experience: Each Romodel sets missions related to their roles, which are adaptable to various educational levels and align with the Curriculum for Wales, covering its six Areas of Learning. This approach ensures that the educational experience is inclusive, effective, and directly applicable to real-world scenarios, thereby enhancing students' understanding and engagement.
Believe: Finally, we include reflection guides to help learners reflect on the strengths and skills developed through their participation in the missions and ultimately what it would take to become that role in the future. Our Romodels Reminder Binders helps learners to track their progress and experiences, reinforcing the connection between their learning and their future career potential.
Accessibility and Impact
Launched in both English and Welsh, the portal was initially rolled out to 15 pilot schools across 10 local authorities, making a significant impact on educational equity and accessibility. The portal is reaching 4,600 learners, nearly twice the number anticipated, which underscores its appeal and effectiveness.

Financial Review
Charity’s financial position at the end of the period: £7140 cash surplus
Charity’s reserve policy: Romodels recognises the importance of maintaining adequate reserves to ensure the organization's long-term financial sustainability and to fulfil its charitable objectives effectively. The Board of Trustees has established the following reserves policy to guide prudent financial management:
1. Purpose of Reserves: The primary purpose of the reserves is to provide financial stability and flexibility in the face of unforeseen circumstances or unexpected challenges. Reserves are intended to safeguard the continuity and impact of our charitable activities.
2. Reserve Levels: The charity will maintain reserves at a level deemed sufficient by the Board of Trustees. The determination of appropriate reserve levels will consider the nature of the charity's operations, potential risks, and the need for financial resilience.
3. Assessment and Review: The Board of Trustees will regularly assess and review the reserves policy. This process will include a comprehensive analysis of the charity's financial position, potential risks, and the adequacy of existing reserves. Adjustments to the policy may be made based on the outcomes of these reviews.
4. Use of Reserves: Reserves may be utilized for the following purposes:

The Trustees consider the ideal level of reserves to be £1500 currently and as we scale Romodels will commit to 3 months of annual expenditure. The current level of reserves held are £1540.

Structure, Governance and Management
Romodels is governed using the Chairty’s constitution and is constituted as a CIO. Trustees are selected by Appointment for fixed term (a) Apart from the first charity trustees, every trustee must be appointed for a term of three years by a resolution passed at a properly convened meeting of the charity trustees. (b) In selecting individuals for appointment as charity trustees, the charity trustees must have regard to the skills, knowledge and experience needed for the effective administration of the CIO.

Amcanion a Gweithgareddau
Pwrpas: Nod yr Elusen Corfforaethol er budd cyhoeddus yw hyrwyddo addysg plant yn y DU, yn enwedig ond nid yn unig, ym maes amrywiaeth o gyfleoedd gyrfaol, chwalu rhagdybiaethau rhagdybiedig drwy ddarparu modelau rôl gyrfaoedd amrywiol; gweithgareddau dysgu sy'n canolbwyntio ar ddatblygu ystod eang o sgiliau gyda'r amcan o gryfhau hunan-gred a hunanhyder; ac adnoddau ar gyfer ysgolion a rhieni i helpu i gefnogi dysgu eu plant.

Cyflawniadau a Pherfformiad
Yn ein hail flwyddyn, llwyddwyd i sicrhau cyllid i ddatblygu Porth Dysgu Romodels, datblygiad allweddol sydd wedi gwella ein gallu'n fawr i ddylanwadu ar uchelgeisiau gyrfaol y dyfodol. Mae'r platfform ar-lein hwn yn ganolog i'n cenhadaeth o helpu plant i ddarganfod cyfleoedd gyrfa amrywiol ac i feithrin eu potensial fel arweinwyr ac arloeswyr y dyfodol. Trwy fanteisio ar dechnoleg i greu profiad hawdd ei lywio ar gyfer y defnyddiwr, mae'r porth yn darparu adnoddau sydd wedi'u teilwra i anghenion athrawon, gan eu galluogi i addasu adnoddau Romodels i gyd-fynd â gweledigaeth eu hysgol.
Cynllun Peilot Romodels Wedi'i Hwyluso gan Dechnoleg:
Darganfod: Mae'r porth yn caniatáu i athrawon gyflwyno deunydd rhyngweithiol yn eu hystafelloedd dosbarth yn ymwneud â phedair thema allweddol: gwenyn, newid hinsawdd, pêldroed, a gwastraff plastig. Gan ddefnyddio gwrthrychau pob dydd fel sbardunau, mae pob thema yn datgelu gyrfaoedd cudd ac yn ennyn chwilfrydedd. Hwylusir hyn gan ein Romodels sy'n rhannu eu taith bersonol a phroffesiynol, gan ddyfnhau'r diddordeb a'r cysylltiad.
Profi: Mae pob Romodel yn gosod heriau sy'n gysylltiedig â'u rolau, y gellir eu haddasu yn ôl gwahanol lefelau addysgol ac sy’n cyd-fynd â'r Cwricwlwm i Gymru, gan gwmpasu ei chwe Maes Dysgu. Mae'r dull hwn yn sicrhau bod y profiad addysgol yn gynhwysol, effeithiol, ac yn uniongyrchol berthnasol i sefyllfaoedd byd go iawn, gan wella dealltwriaeth a diddordeb myfyrwyr.
Credu: Yn olaf, rydym yn cynnwys canllawiau myfyrio i helpu dysgwyr i fyfyrio ar y cryfderau a'r sgiliau a ddatblygwyd trwy eu cyfranogiad yn yr heriau ac, yn y pen draw, yr hyn sydd ei angen i wneud y rôl honno yn y dyfodol. Hygyrchedd ac Effaith
Wedi’i lansio yn Saesneg ac yn Gymraeg, cyflwynwyd y porth yn wreiddiol i 15 ysgol beilot ar draws 10 awdurdod lleol, gan gael effaith sylweddol ar gydraddoldeb a hygyrchedd addysgol. Mae'r porth yn cyrraedd 4,600 o ddysgwyr, bron dwywaith y nifer a ragwelwyd, sy'n dangos ei apêl a'i effeithiolrwydd.

Mae Romodels yn fwy nag arf addysgol yn unig; mae'n blatfform sy'n grymuso plant i ddarganfod, profi, a chredu yn eu galluoedd a'u potensial. Trwy ddarparu Romodels ysbrydoledig a phrofiadau dysgu perthnasol ac ymarferol, rydym yn llunio cenhedlaeth sy'n cedu y gallant gyflawni newid a dilyn gyrfaoedd boddhaus mewn meysydd amrywiol. Sefyllfa ariannol yr elusen ar ddiwedd y cyfnod: £7140 o arian dros ben.
Polisi cronfeydd wrth gefn yr elusen: Mae Romodels yn cydnabod pwysigrwydd cynnal cronfeydd wrth gefn digonol i sicrhau cynaliadwyedd ariannol hirdymor y sefydliad ac i gyflawni ei amcanion elusennol yn effeithiol. Mae Bwrdd yr Ymddiriedolwyr wedi sefydlu'r polisi cronfeydd wrth gefn canlynol i arwain rheolaeth ariannol ddarbodus:
1. Pwrpas y cronfeydd wrth gefn: Prif bwrpas y cronfeydd wrth gefn yw darparu sefydlogrwydd ariannol a hyblygrwydd yn wyneb amgylchiadau annisgwyl neu heriau annisgwyl. Bwriad cronfeydd wrth gefn yw diogelu parhad ac effaith ein gweithgareddau elusennol.
2. Lefelau’r Cronfeydd Wrth Gefn: Bydd yr elusen yn cynnal cronfeydd wrth gefn ar lefel a ystyrir yn ddigonol gan Fwrdd yr Ymddiriedolwyr. Bydd penderfynu ar lefelau priodol ar gyfer y cronfeydd wrth gefn yn ystyried natur gweithrediadau'r elusen, risgiau posibl, a'r angen am wydnwch ariannol.
3. Asesu ac Adolygu: Bydd Bwrdd yr Ymddiriedolwyr yn asesu ac yn adolygu'r polisi cronfeydd wrth gefn yn rheolaidd. Bydd y broses hon yn cynnwys dadansoddiad cynhwysfawr o sefyllfa ariannol yr elusen, risgiau posibl, a digonolrwydd y cronfeydd wrth gefn presennol. Gellir gwneud addasiadau i'r polisi yn seiliedig ar ganlyniadau'r adolygiadau hyn.
4. Defnyddio cronfeydd wrth gefn: Gellir defnyddio cronfeydd wrth gefn at y dibenion canlynol:

Strwythur, Llywodraethu a Rheoli
Mae Romodels yn cael ei lywodraethu gan ddefnyddio cyfansoddiad yr Elusen ac fe’i cyfansoddir fel Sefydliad Corfforedig Elusennol (SCE). Dewisir ymddiriedolwyr drwy Benodiad am gyfnod penodol (a) Ar wahân i ymddiriedolwyr cyntaf yr elusen, rhaid penodi pob ymddiriedolwr am dymor o dair blynedd drwy benderfyniad a basiwyd mewn cyfarfod o ymddiriedolwyr yr elusen a gynullwyd yn briodol. (b) Wrth ddewis unigolion i'w penodi fel ymddiriedolwyr yr elusen, rhaid i ymddiriedolwyr yr elusen roi sylw i'r sgiliau, y wybodaeth a'r profiad sydd eu hangen ar gyfer gweinyddu'r SCE yn effeithiol.
