The .schcme 1197611 provides that th¢ Almshouses belonging to the eharity shall provide for the
extraordinary repair. improvement and rebuildin8 of the Almshouses for thc benefit of rcsidents as
considered appropriate. The Iruslces make it a condition that a resident bencftciary shall bc required
to contribute a weekly sum towards the COM of maintaining the Almshouses and essential services.
The Trustees may consider other conditions as considered appropriate.
The charity operntes in accordance with the Nation81 Association of Almthouse Standards of &nd
Managemcnt. FAch site of Almshouses is a Grade 11 listed building and wilh this comes an ongoin8
high maintcnance budget.
It Bhould be noted that as at th¢ 31st Deeember2022 and durlng tbe initial perlod ofoperatlon
of this Deiv ineorpor8t¢d ¢harity (commenced 21" January 2022h that the properties and
investment assets were held within the Unin¢0ry￿rnttd trust known 49 the Burltonj, Cookes
and Sayers Almshouaes (charity 1088784
Finally. the trustecs anticipate the transfer of assets and liabilities of charity 1088784 to this charity
will be completed in carly 2023.
