Portsmouth and District Barbershop Harmony Club performs for the public as an unaccompanied (a Cappella) choir singing a wide range of songs in four-part harmony primarily in the Barbershop style. Through our performances we aim to broaden knowledge and experience of the genres of music we sing and, at the same time, providing entertainment to our audiences.

Objects: The Objects Of The Society Shall Be:1. To Advance, Improve, Develop And Maintain Public Education In, And Appreciation Of, Theart And Science Of Music In All Its Aspects By Any Means The Trustees See Fit, Includingthrough The Presentation Of Public Concerts And Recitals;2. [Optional] To Provide Facilities Which Promote The Practice Or Enjoyment Of The Art Ofmusic For Recreation Or Other Leisure Time Occupation And To Make Them Available In Theinterests Of Social Welfare To Individuals Who Have Need Of Such Facilities By Reason Oftheir Youth, Age, Infirmity Or Disablement, Financial Hardship Or Social And Economiccircumstances Or For The Public At Large With The Object Of Improving Conditions Of Life.
