Policies and procedures are continually being developed.
The organisation continues to develop relationships with other organisations to ensure best practice is being shared, executed efficiently and effectively.
Risk assessments reviewed periodically for volunteers planning on travelling to India and volunteers in the UK.
The volunteer programme in India now has suitable systems in place. Systems are continuously being developed and refined, from interviewing potential candidates, to participating on the programme. We now have a checklist for guidance. These include vaccinations, travel, insurance and general health and safety.
Section C Objectives and activities
The organisation’s purposes are for the benefit of the public, to relieve the suffering of animals in need of care and attention throughout the world, particularly in Goa, India, and in the UK, by:
• Using local labour, volunteers, and trustees, provide daily food, sterilisation, regular care for the animals and facilitate foster/adoption homes.
• Educating the public and schools in matters relating to animal welfare in general and the prevention of cruelty and suffering among animals across the world. (Goa Dog Foundation now has an educational Summary of the objects of the programme in place that is delivered by us and on-line content for others charity set out in its wanting to deliver the programme. This is also available on TES on-line governing document educational resources for schools).
- Providing and coordinating volunteers to support the work of animal welfare internationally.
• Facilitating spay/neutering programmes annually using volunteers.
Facilitate annual school visits to delivery talks and demonstrations about the importance of being kind to animals.

Office space in the UK is working perfectly and is a great base for us to store our equipment for events, have meetings and store accounts. The office space is owned by the trustee and no charge to Goa Dog Foundation for the space and utilities.
Coordinated spay/neutering for the street dogs/cats. This operates periodically by volunteers and trustees. These animals are also vaccinated against rabies, resulting in a safer place for the public. Birth control also prevents the area being overpopulated with unwanted animals, often leading to residents complaining or harming the animals. This also forms a basis for our educational material for our online YouTube channel by filming real life footage, edited, and released into the public domain.

Goa Dog Foundation now has an educational programme in place that is delivered by us and on-line content for others wanting to deliver the programme. This is also available on TES educational resources for schools.
Prepared and developed educational material for online purposes and face-to-face programmes in India and in the UK/international. The idea of these programmes is to educate the public on multi aspects of animal welfare in a number of different languages.
Made links with veterinary professionals for their support on creating current educational videos for our socials.
Communicated with many schools in both India and the UK to share the news about our new educational programme and on-line resources.
Responded to enquires in relation to animal welfare in the UK and India to help animals in need.
Proactively fundraised, raised awareness and kept the public up to date with our activates through social media.
Facilitated our regular feeding programme for free roaming dogs in India. Provided free microchip service for the homeless’ dogs in the UK.

Successfully executed our second international volunteer’s programme, animal birth control programme which lasted two weeks. Volunteers were awarded a certificate from us for their participation. The feedback was outstanding and we keep ALL feedback to ensure we are delivering the programme to the best of our ability. Volunteers raised their own funds for participate. Successfully recruited ‘drop-in’ volunteer days for people who wanted to come and help us for just the day. Developed our policy on risk management. Research continues - policies for grant making. Volunteers successfully engaged with activities in the UK and India. We were invited to have our new stand at the International Vegan Camp Out festival to share the great work we do and recruit volunteers. This was completely operated by volunteers and was a huge success. All feedback forms from volunteers are stored at the office for our reference. This event was held over 4 days. Hosted our own stand at International Vegan Camp out and other animal welfare awareness events. Planned 2025 volunteers’ programme and we hope to recruit more locals in Goa to complete the programme. Charity dog walks took place in the UK for awareness. These were organised by trustee and volunteers. |
