Trustees familiarised themselves with guidance and documentation. Roles and responsibilities of the trustees clearly outlined. Systems for Human Resource Management in place Social media platforms and protocols for in place for posting in the public domain. Systems for the day-to-day running of the organisation (on-going) Organisation’s bank account now open. Built new foster/adoption kennels at the trustee’s home in India (at NO expense to the organisation). These are for dogs/cats that will be fostered by us and for dogs that are no longer able to live in the communities (adopted by us permanently). Facilitate a feeding programme in Goa, India for approximately 60+ dogs that are homeless (street dogs). This prevents the dogs from going hungry and entering communities looking for food, resulting in residents complaining and causing harm to the dogs. All dogs on our feeding programme have been sterilised by us. Their welfare is monitored, and any medical care is provided by us (to include anti-rabies vaccinations, 9- 1 vaccinations). Coordinated spay/neutering for the street dogs/cats. These animals are also vaccinated against rabies, resulting in a safer place for the public. Birth control also prevents the area being overpopulated with animals, often leading to residents complaining or harming the animals. This also forms a basis for our educational material for our online YouTube channel by filming real life footage, edited, and released into the public domain. Prepared and developed educational material for online purposes and face-to-face programmes in India and in the UK/international. The idea of these programmes are to educate the public on multi aspects of animal welfare in a number of different languages. Responded to enquires in relation to animal welfare in the UK and India to help animals in need. March **2012** **TAR** 5 Section D Achievements and performance **Summary of the main achievements of the charity during the year** - Logo’s complete/artwork finalised for the organisation. - Constructed a safe place for dogs/cats at the trustee’s home in India. This consists of 5 zones that can house approximately 20 dogs. Each zone has a small shelter area with a roof and beds to protect them from the sun/rain (based at Trustee’s new home in Goa). - • Collected many hours of video footage of our work which will be used for educational material for on-line (YouTube) and school visits. - • Initial educational material complete. • Video available on the organisation. How it started and what we do. - • Our feeding programme has grown in India, and we continue to operate this throughout North Goa. - • Spay/Neutering of 8 dogs and 2 cats. • Coordinated adoption homes for 7 dogs and 3 cats. • Fundraising events • Social media platforms completed and YouTube channel complete. - • Rescued a horse in the UK from being euthanised unnecessarily. We now receive small regular donations towards the horses’ upkeep and the horse is now living a happy retired life. - **Future Planning Continues:** • We continue to search for land to rent in the UK for animals in need (not limited to dogs). - • Plans complete to develop an office space next to the trustees’ home in the UK (at no cost to the organisation). - • Coordinating a volunteering programme to participate in a project in India to assist with our work. - • Share our educational work with others to grow our audience and educate the public. - • Find more volunteers to participate in fundraising.
