Aims and Purposes
Jesus Christ is the Answer Ministry (JCA) has the duty of propagating the mission of the Church such as evangelism, sharing the Gospel of Christ, attending to the sick and the disabled and to advance Christianity.
Objectives and Activities
JCA is committed to equip as many people as possible to become soul winners and to worship at our church and to become part of our church community. JCA maintains an overview of worship throughout the local community near our church and involving as many groups as possible throughout the whole of England. Our services and worship put faith into practice through prayer, bible study, music ministry, sharing the gospel and mini concert.
When planning our activities for the year, JCA is strictly guided by the Charity Commission’s guidance on public benefit and, in particular, the specific guidance on charities for the advancement of religion. We enable the members to live out their faith as part of our Christian community through:
Worship and prayer; learning about the Word of God through the Bible; equipping the members to become soul winners; attending to the spiritual upliftment of those who are sick, disabled and have less in life; provision of pastoral care for people who work and live near the Church; missionary and outreach work.
The year that passed 2022 to 2023 was a modest start for JCA as a Church coming from a challenging year before. Church activities was and is fully functional and characterized with determination and perseverance. Although the year started at a relatively slower pace compared to the accustomed disposition of the church in the past, but this does not stop JCA officers and members from reaching as many people as possible and share the gospel of Christ and win as many souls for Christ.
This temporary hard pace of the church does not slow down the determination of our Church to pursue our commitment for the ministry. We have now resumed our house to house ministry as a method of sharing the Gospel enhanced by the Zoom app which also makes it user friendly and accessible to a lot of our members, all for the purpose of collective discussions about the bible or bible studies and prayer meetings.
To facilitate this work it is still imperative that we adopt the mission and ministry of Jesus Christ while living here on earth and maintain the fabric of the Church of JCA.
Achievements and Performance
JCA is still determined to offer a range of activities during the week and the course of the year that our Church find both beneficial and spiritually fulfilling inspite the slow down of recruitment on new membership. There is still the Bible Study every Wednesday in combination of both physical meeting projected in Zoom for others to witness or participate in. Prayer meetings every Saturday also a combination of both Zoom meeting and selected members’ homes, although mini concert and street evangelism are temporarily suspended for the time being due to lack of manpower and resources.
This year had remained a difficult year for the ministry work not only because of the challenges of the year preceeding but more especially the slow down on recruitment and expansion of the ministry work in general.
As a consequence of the slow movement the year past, JCA concentrated efforts towards evangelisation and winning of souls via online platform through social media. We see it fitting that with social media, we can reach as many souls as we can and at the same time minimise cost without necessarily jeopardizing our mission and goal.
Inspite ministry retardations, all are still welcome to attend our regular services in the Church. At present Church members had remained to only 20 active membership. The average Church attendees counted during November 2022 is 15 in the hope that this number will increase with the resumption of active recruitment and enhanced Church activity.
On top of our regular services, our Church also offers various services such water baptism where we thank God for the gift of life, Marriage Ceremonies where public vows are exchanged and blessing of God shared, and Funeral Services where friends and family express their grief and prayer for the redemption of souls. Mission and Evangelism
Our mission is to advance Christianity is such ways as we see appropriate under the circumstance such as to pastor to every person to receive Jesus Christ as our Saviour; to evangelise souls and equipping them to fulfil their divine destinies in Christ Jesus, to go out and bear fruit and ensure that the fruit remains; to conquer the enemy (the Devil) by healing the sick, deliverance, inner healing and teaching the Word of God; to establish a place of worship; and to pray for and win unbelievers into the faith.
Our Church evangelization is focused on social media platform inorder to reach more people and to evangelise them by making Church service and bible studies more accessible not only in the UK but the world over, wherever our social platform can reach. Tracks distribution citing bible verses and inviting people to the church with details printed are distributed weekly to nearby public places frequented by people such as Kilburn area and Willesden was suspended temporarily due to lack of manpower and resources. We are very thankful to all volunteers of the church in making these efforts possible in the best way we can. This social media evangelism efforts help invite people to receive Jesus Christ as their Saviour and to teach them about the Word of God.
Financial Review
Our church is just on its 2nd year and is still struggling with funds and resources. Inspite such limitation, our church is still maintaining its efforts to spread the good news about the Word of God and invite people to join us in our worship and evangelism works.
At present our funds are still earned through voluntary contribution of our members, and the generosity of donors and sponsors who are supportive of our efforts towards achieving our mission.
Volunteers
We thank all the volunteers who work selflessly to make our Church become more effective in evangelising souls and administering the Word of God to those who have no personal relationships with Christ and in recruiting people into the Christian faith. These volunteers have made our church alive, active and inspired. We also thank them for putting efforts to make our service lively and vibrant without any promise of reward but purely on serving God out of love. Although the activities of last year had been very slow and at times passive due to some Church member’s departure.
Structure, governance and management
The method of appointment of charity trustees is set out in the governing document of the trust. The board of trustees of JCA or Jesus Christ is the Answer consists of the incumbent Managing Trustee, Secretary, Treasurer and 2 other trustees. The Managing Trustee and Chairman at the same time is elected by the majority of the board of trustees.
The board of trustees is responsible for making decisions on all matters of general concern and importance to the church including deciding on how the funds of the church are to be spent.
Given the board’s wide responsibilities, JCA has a number of committees each dealing with a particular aspect of ministry life. These committees include worship team, music ministry, missions, evangelism, logistics and finance. They are all responsible to the board and regularly report back to the board with minutes of their deliberations being received by the whole of the board of directors, where discussions are encouraged.
