Covid-19
The charity was among many organisations impacted by the Cowd-19 oulbreak. which 9￿atlY affected day-tO-¢Jay
operations. It has been noted thal necessary measu'res were underlaken dunng the outbreak including closure of
sites ta protect the residents. as well as the team. Contingency tAans were forrned eawly lo be able to manage 2
similar situation quickly and effectively. and utilise th￿r healthy cash re5eTves to progress during the economic
derjine.
Structure, governance and rnanagement
The charity is controlled by its governing documenl and a deed of tnjsl.
Homchurch Housing Tru51 was consliluled in ils present form in 1991, forrnerty known as Hornchurch United
Charities. The earfiest recogniion of the charity was Appleton's Nmshouses, founded in 1586 and establtshed in
the Parish of p￿rnChurCh. Thè trust is wisiered wth Ihe Charity Commission.

Reporting Standartj applicable in Ihe UK aThJ Republic ol Ireland {FRS 1021-. The Funds of the charity is a
Public Benefit Entity as ¢Yefined by FRS 1(Y2.
The Funds ol the charity has taken ad*dntag8 Qf the prowsions in the SORP for Charities not to prepare a
statement of cash flows.
The financial stat8m8fbts have departed from Ihe Chanw (Accounts and ReFQt151 Regulalion5 2￿8 only to
th& extent required to provide a true and fair view. This departure has involved following the Sl8tement of
Reccmmended Practice for charities applying FRS 102 rather than the version of the Statement ol
Recommended Practice vlhich Is ieferred to in the Regulations bul which has since been wilhdrawn.
