## **SBMCA Financial Year April 2023 – April 2024** 

At the end of the financial year April 2022, SBMCA have total assets of £23,259 

Throughout the year we received £24, 820.14 in donations – these include donations from collections in the mosque, one-off donations, and regular standing orders from community members. 

Our expenditure in order to deliver our activities came to a total of £17,506. 

Activities included: 

## _Weekly Friday prayer_ 

SBMCA has been holding weekly Friday prayers in a local hall attended by Muslims from the community. 

## _Ramadan nightly prayers and community iftar_ 

Around 50-100 people attended tarawih prayers regularly throughout the month of Ramadan. SBMCA arranged one community iftar event which was well attended by the community and a second volunteer iftar for volunteers and their families. 

_Eid prayers and celebrations_ 

SBMCA organised prayers for Eid al fitr and Eid al adha two local venues (Bournville Village Trust premises and Weoley Village Hall). Around 700 people attended the prayers and were welcomed for refreshments after prayer. 

_Regular activities for young people:_ 

SMBCA are running a weekly sports club which has 80 children registered and taking part. 70 children are registered for weekly Quran lessons and 45 for tuition to support children with the primary and secondary school curriculum. 

## _Family residential opportunity_ 

SBMCA was able to organise, in partnership with Youth Hostel Association (YHA), a weekend residential trip to Chester for local families. This provided adults and young people with an opportunity to take part in outdoor activities such as archery and a hike as well as socialising and building community cohesion. 



We are thankful to all the trustees and volunteers for their hard work and efforts, our services to the local community continue to grow and be of vital support. We look forward to growing our charity.
