## **KINGS CHURCH SOUTHAMPTON – Registered Charity Number 1197518** 

We are seeking to submit our annual return for the above charity for the year 2023. As part of the submission the My Charity page has asked for accounts and annual report to be submitted. This charity over the course of 2023 however was dormant. The church had operated under registered charity number 1028785. The new charity (1197518) was setup some time ago with the intention of transferring the assets of the old charity to it and then ceasing the old charity. However this process was significantly delayed due to the death of one of the trustees who had oversight of it and subsequent significant delays in dealing with the legal process of transferring the title of the church assets. This has now been resolved however the consequence is that for the past two years the new charity has had no activity. There has been zero income, zero expenditure, no employees or activity. 

We there are unable to submit a typical annual report or account for 2023. We therefore ask that this letter be accepted in lieu of this. The transfer of assets and accounts has now been completed and so going forward typical annual reports and accounts will be submitted for the new charity.
