The Trust was formed by like minded individuals with similar interests and wide-ranging experience of British agricultural animal breeds and a shared desire to conserve and enhance the sustainability of rare, at risk and endangered breeds.

Within this year the Trust successfully attended County Shows in Cheshire, Derbyshire, Westmorland, and the English Winter Fair at Stafford spreading the word about their initial projects and encouraging memberships and donations.

2 Original Population Jersey Cows were purchased in this year and placed with a host farm to enable egg flushing and potential embryo transplants.

Embryo work was also conducted with Original Population Ayrshire and Dairy Shorthorn cattle with host farms supportive of our aims.

A generous legacy was received on 19[th] December from PHB Fenton which gave the Trust a firm foundation from which to progress their work.

Anthony Howe sadly died on 20[th] December 2023, gifting his investment to the Trust for them to continue the work started. He will be sadly missed.

It is the Trustees continuing aim to develop further the website and social media presence and to attend more events within the coming year, whilst building on connections already made and encouraging membership and volunteers to continue to bring in income to enable further works to be conducted.
