The Band’s return to the Charity Commission is visible on the circulated spreadsheet, along with the bank statements. This spreadsheet is confidential. Future years will be reported from 02 September to 01 September the following year.

**- - The Weston super Mare Sea Shanty and Folk Music Festival 2023.**

After remaining payments from the 2024 Festival had been made, the 2025 Accounts opened with a balance of £5,865.60.

The closing balance on 02 January 2025 was £11,517.85. with payments to the supported charities to be confirmed at the 2025 AGM on 3rd September 2025. The Acting Treasurer recommends that we donate £2000 to both the Weston RNLI and Weston Lions club, double the amount from 2024. This will leave a balance of £7,517.85 which will be used for upfront costs and purchase of merchandise.

Payments totalling £2405 combined are still outstanding from 5 venues and 4 traders; one trader is in dispute with us over the cost of damage repair to their trailer, to which we deny liability, a second trader is currently refusing to pay due to financial hardship and has been given an extention until 30/09/2025.

The Costs, income and ‘profitability’ of the 2025 Festival (i.e surplus of total income over total costs) was roughly inline with 2024.

The Festival income and expenditure spreadsheet has been circlulated to members, to be entered into our account information at the Charity Commission upon AGM agreement

A decision on the beneficiaries for the 2025 Festival is to be taken at the AGM of The Steepholmers Shanty Band in September 2025.
