Achievements and Performance

SORP
reference
Summary of the main achievements
of the charity, identifying the
difference the charity’s work has
made to the circumstances of its
benefciaries and any wider benefts
to society as a whole.
Para 1.20 Baobab Charity focused on maintaining and developing
local green spaces and community gardens in Brazil,
which provided fresh produce for children and
meaningful educational and recreational opportunities for
young people. Through environmental education
sessions delivered by local biologists, children gained a
deeper understanding of biodiversity and sustainability,
strengthening community ties and helping reduce youth
vulnerability to crime. Following the severe floods in
August 2024, Baobab Charity demonstrated resilience
and commitment by honouring its land lease obligations,
mobilising volunteers to assist with evacuations, and
allocating emergency funds to support families who lost
their homes. These efforts not only improved the
immediate circumstances of beneficiaries but also
contributed to long-term community cohesion,
environmental awareness, and social stability.
