Cottingham and shown in thè accounts at tho original cost of £54,439. The trustees are of the opinion that the market value of such land and buildings is considerably in excess of its bookvalue but do not feel that any u$&ful purpose vKuld be served in having a professional valuation undertaken with th8 attendant costs. The building is howeveT valued at £1,543,937 for insurance renewal purposes. Finances.. The C l O has adequate financial resources to meet its day to day expenditure and follows the practice of financial prudenc8. Re$erve¥'. The C l O has adopted 2 policy of caution towards its finances and reserves. Accordingly, they do not U8e funds unnecessarily, However certain improvements to the building h8ve been carrie out in the year reported on in order to ensure that li continues to be attiactive to people wishing to rent it. The level of resewes is maintained at the stated level to ensure that future maintenance and costs can be adequat81y catered for.
