The Trustees present their annual report together with the financial 5taterDents of Get Into Theatre for the year
from l January 2024 to 31 December 2024. The annual report serves the purposes ol both a Trustees, report and
directors, report under company law. The financial 5taternents h3ve been prepared in accordanie with the
accounting policies set out in the notes to the financial statements and with the Companie5 Att 2CK)6, The Charities
Act 20113nd the Accountln8 and Reporting by Charities.. Ststernent of Recommended Practice applicable to
charities prep3rin8 their account5 in accordance with the Finantial Reportin8 Standard applicable in the UK and

Purpose and aims
Following a succe55ful second year as a registered £harity, the trustees continue to carefully consider the aims,
objectives and activities of Get Into Theatre. Thi5 report looks at what the charity has achieved and the outcorne5
of its work in the reporting period. We are pleased to report the 5ucce55 of each key activity and the benefits the
charity has brought to those young people that it IS Set up to help. The review also helps us en5urE the Iharity's
aims, objectives and artivities remain focused on its stated purposes.

Get Into Theatre'5 charitable misslon is to promote access to the arts and speclfically to theatre ca￿e¥S for all
youn8 people regardless of their race, nationality, ethnicity, dlsability, 5Èxuality, religion or belief. The charity
works in the United Kingdom to hi8hli8ht all educational and career opportunities within the field of the theatre
arts, serving to educate youn8 people and advancÈ knowled8e of theatre careers to the public.
When shapiTh8 the strategy, aim5 and activities of the charity, the twstees cornply with their duty in Section 17 of
the Charities Act 2011 and refer to the Chafity Cornmission's guidance on public benÈfit. We ¢onsider how
planned activities will contribute to the aims and objertives that have been set.
Our aim is to contribute to $18nificant change within theat¥e careers and the theatre industry by ensurlng..
All young people, especially frotn theatres. under-represented group5, have knowled8e and support to
access theatre career pathwèys, on and off stage.
Teachers, careers leaders and parents are supported by providing theatre careers advSce and access to
theatre careers opportunities.
Those from the Slobal majority. low-income households and Dldeaf and disabled youn8 people are
tar8eted and specifically supported in accessin8 theatre careers and theatre career information.

theatre training or entry-point opportunities by a diverse ran8e of candidatÈ5, which will in turn lead to the theatrE
workft>rce being a true representation of the UK population.

After rnaking appiopriate enquirie5, the Trustee5 have a reasonable expectation that the charity has adequate
re5ource5 to continue in operational e¥i5tence for the foreseeable future. For this reason. they continue to adopt
the going concern ba515 in preparing the financial statements. Further details resarding the adoption of the going
concern basis Can be found in the accountin8 policies.
Reserves poll¢y
The surplu5 funds of £90.041 at the year-end12023.. £78,814) are unresiri£ted and available as general reserves. It
is the policy of the trustee5 to rnaintsin sufficient cash reserves within the charity to meet all known commitments
for a minimurn three-rnonth period.

The trustees are deli8hted Get Into Theatre is reco8nised and supported by Arts Councll En8laThd who awarde
restrlcted fundlng of E49.999 towards the £hariWs Work in Theatre projett.
2024 marked the final year of our three-year agreement wlrh the Theatre Development Trust. which provided
unrestricted funding ol E31,998 in the year to support the charl￿5 core c05t5. We are pleased to note that this
fundin8 was renewed in 2025 for a further one-year agreement. A new 3 year grant application to Andrew Lloyd
Webber Foundation was also successful with the first instalment of £30,000 unrestricted funding was made during
the year. The Sta8e remain a core supporter lor Get Into Theatre providin8 in-kind 5UPPOrt in tertns of
establishment and marketlng costs.
Get Into Theatre is dEpendent on grant KivillE and industry support to further expand it5 operation5 ènd maintaln
heahhy reserves. The trustees remaln very grateful to all funders for their vital new and continued support of the
charity's activities.
Total income for the perioLI was £124,258. This, together with funds of £78.814 brought forward from the year
ended 31 Decernber 2023. wa5 Sufficient to cover expendlture of £113.031 on charitable actfvltles In the period.
The period ends with a total surplus of £90,041 towards future year operation5.
Risk management

Work in Theatre
Following the success of our first Work In Theatre project. in a550ciation with ATG Entertainment, we are planning
to resubrn￿t for Arts Council England project funding for a Second outing. Thè first Work In Theatre project
engaged more than 275,IYJO younR people. teachers, and freelance artists across the UK lin person and digitallyl
while improving equal 3cce$5 for young people from lower socio-economic, dlDeaf. or disabled, c3re-experienced,
and Black, A513n & global majority backgrounds. We believe that a second iteration of the scheme can do even
MO￿ and we ère currently developing an enlarged project funding submission.
Meanwhile. there are lour other areas that we are looking to expand, 5ubjett to the development of new fundin8
