**Objects:** THE OBJECTS OF THE SOCIETY SHALL BE TO EDUCATE THE PUBLIC IN THE ART AND SCIENCE OF ORCHESTRAL MUSIC, AND IN PARTICULAR:I) TO PROMOTE ORCHESTRAL CONCERTS IN SOUTH LAKELAND, PARTICULARLY IN KENDAL,ANDII) MANAGE A CHAMBER ORCHESTRA FORMED OF PLAYERS, PRINCIPALLY FROM CUMBRIAAND NORTH LANCASHIRE, AND OTHER AREAS AS NECESSARY, TO TAKE PART IN SUCHCONCERTS, FOR AS LONG AS THE SOCIETY CONSIDERS SUCH AN ORCHESTRA VIABLE.

**Activities:** We educate the public in South Cumbria and North Lancashire in the art and science of orchestral music. We promote concerts in Kendal, and manage the Lakeland Sinfonia orchestra.
