The Trustees of the ALEXANDRA MURPHY HHT FOUNDATION Charity present their annual report and accounts for the year ended 31 August 2023, and confirm they comply with the requirements of the Charities Act 2011, and the trust deed.
OUR AIMS
The aims of the ALEXANDRA MURPHY HHT FOUNDATION are the relief of sickness and the advancement of health of HHT (Hereditary Haemorrhagic Telangiectasia) sufferers, more specially those who suffer from Pulmonary AVMs (arteriovenous malformations) in particular, but not exclusively by: a) Raising awareness of HHT and Pulmonary AVMs, the symptoms associated with it and treatment. b) Promoting research into the understanding, diagnosis, cause, and treatment of HHT and Pulmonary AVMs through treatments and grants related to research projects in order that the useful results of research are disseminated for public benefit. c) Providing support to patients and families suffering from HHT in any way the trustees think fit
ACHIEVEMENTS
During the financial period the trustees of ALEXANDRA MURPHY HHT FOUNDATION have, without any cost to the charity, maintained the website https://alexandramurphyHHT.foundation which through social medal has been instrumental in raising awareness of HHT, its suffers and its symptoms. This has resulting in achieving donations totalling £8,609, all of the donations have come from members of the public following their awareness of Hereditary Heamorrhagic Telangiectasial.
OUR FINANCES
The financial statements show net incoming for the year of £8,609, this a result of income from donations totalling £8,609. Most of the donations are achieved through an annual Charity event, whereby we aim to raise the profile of HHT. A very successful evert was held in October 22 and another event will take place in October 23. The only cost to the charity of the event is the refreshments, all over costs are covered by the trustees.
Risk Management
The Trustees are responsible for the overseeing of the risks faced by the charity. Risks are identified, assessed and controls established throughout the year. A formal review of the charity’s risk management processes is undertaken on an annual basis.

There were no changes to the trustees throughout the year, neither the trustees or any other person or company or organisation, received any income, remuneration, expenses or any other fee from the Charity.
