STRA's purpose is to relieve the suffering of sea turtles globally through education and support of veterinarians and rescue centres around the world, thereby providing care, protection and rehabilitation of sea turtles in need. The team is hosting international veterinary training for sea turtle rescue, rehabilitation and medical treatments.

Objects: A) To Promote For The Benefit Of The Public The Conservation And Protection Of Endangered Sea Turtle Species In Such Ways As The Trustees Think Fit Including:i. Providing Support To Rescue Centres Or Other Facilities For The Reception, Care, Treatment And Release Of Sea Turtlesii. Providing Education In Sea Turtle Medicine, Rescue And Rehabilitation, Husbandry And Careiii. Raising Public Awareness Of Sea Turtle Welfare. B) To Advance The Education Of The Public In The Conservation, Protection And Improvement Of The Physical And Natural Environment, Specifically The Role That Sea Turtles Play In Local Habitats, Ecosystems And Communities.
