Hopesavers is a community-focused charity dedicated to empowering families, particularly Black families, through skills training, health awareness, and poverty alleviation programmes. In this reporting year, all activities were carried out voluntarily, with no reliance on grants or external funding.

Key Activities and Events
Crochet Workshops for Families
Secured a rent-free venue to teach families how to crochet.
Families learned to make winter hats and scarves, significantly reducing their costs. This initiative promoted skill development and self-reliance.
Food Distribution
Received food donations through the FareShare scheme, with contributions from Asda and Tesco.
Distributed food items to several families within the local community, addressing food insecurity and supporting vulnerable households.
Engagement with Married and Single Individuals
Participated in a group focused on addressing the needs of married and single individuals.
Distributed books, pens, and bags to encourage personal development and community engagement.
Support for the Homeless
Volunteers crocheted and distributed hats to individuals living on the streets in Piccadilly, helping them stay warm during colder months.
All these activities were carried out without financial assistance, relying on the
commitment of volunteers, donations from local schemes, and community goodwill.
The Future Plans (2025)
In 2025, Hopesavers will focus on expanding its outreach and impact through the following initiatives:
Skills Empowerment
Organising training sessions to help families develop income-generating skills, reducing dependency and poverty.
Health Awareness and Education
Promoting early detection and management of health conditions within the Black community.
Organising workshops to educate families on health and wellness topics.
Poverty Alleviation
Designing sustainable programmes that address the root causes of poverty, focusing on empowering families to create lasting change.

No income or funding was received during the reporting year.
Activities were supported through voluntary contributions, food donations from the FareShare scheme, and collaboration with local organisations.
Reserves Policy
As no grants or funding were received, there are no reserves to report. Moving forward, we aim to secure funding through grants and donations to ensure the sustainability and growth of our initiatives.
