Trustees
The Managing Trustees of the charity are the Minister5 of the church for the time being (appointed
by the church meeting for an unspecified period), the Secretary and Treasurers (appointed annually)
and the Deacons of the church (appointed by the church meetin8 for a period of 3 years).
The Trustees plan to meet monthly (holidays permlttlng) to revlew operatlons. the financial
performance and discuss developments to ensure the church objectives are being fulfilled.
Churth Meetln8
Meetlngs of the church members are normally held bl-monthly.one of these meetings incorporates
the annual church members meeting to receive the Annual Accounts and to appoint Independent
Examlners.
The church meeting has responslblllty for the overall policy of the church In accordance wlth the
Approved Governlng Document. Relevant matters may be submltted to the church meeting by the
Trustees for guidance, or may be ra15ed by members In the church meeting for further Conslderation
by the Trustees.

The prlnclpal purpose of the church Is the advancement of the Chrlstian falth according to the
principles of the Baptlst denomlnatlon. The charity also carrles out and supports other ch•rltable
purposes In the Unlted Klngdom and other parts of the world.
When planning the actlvitles of the year, the Trustees have consldered the Charlty Commlsslon's
guldan¢e on publ1¢ benefit and In particular, seek to enable people to flnd and Ilve out their faith as
part of our church community through..

Learnlng about the Gospel and developlng knowledge of and trust In Jesus
Provlsion of pastoral care
Missionary and outreach work
To facilitate this work we provide and malntaln the fabric of the church buildlngs at the chèrltvs
maln address and also the church manse at 22 Roxburgh Road, Ipswich.

Athlevements and Perlormance
Our Minister, Hazel Huntin& has continued to bless us wlth Insighttul teaehlng and creatlvlty. It was
a joy that Hazel confirmed as a fully accredited Baptist Minister in the autumn and we look
forward to her continued leadership of us as a Church. As well as leading our Sunday services, Hazel
has continued to be part of the leadership of key rnld-week activltles - Ducklin85, Illuminate, Henley
House servlces,. Outreach to Broke Hall School- as well as her pastoral dutles.
Thls wide range of responslbllltles together wlth the Increasing numbers of people attending our
regular mid-week activities led us to consider how Yie could increase our capacity to reach out into
the communtty wlth the good new5 ofjesus. We were dellghted when Ben Walejolned us as a part-
time Ministry Assistsnt to work In partner5hlp wlth Hazel, commencing in January 2025, Initially on •
2 y￿r contrart.
Ben has ably supported Hazel and our volunteers In our chlldren's and youth work. organising one-
off events at Easter and Christmas, In addTrtion, Ben has reached out Into the community leadin8 UP
lo a community event at our local allotments at Harvest tlme, 8en ha5 a150 been active In stimulatlng
the prayer Ilfe of the Church.
We celebrated Easter wlth a lange of actlvities leadlng to a ￿¥oUS a1148e servlce on Easter Sundav.
We held an Alpha eourse In the autumn. At Chrlstmas, we held our usual range of events and
servlces beqlnnlng wlth the fun of a Nativlty Servlce and endlng wlth a family celebratlon $ervlce on
Chrlstmas Day.
Other actlvltles or8anlsed durlng the year were..
A well4ttended chlldren's hollday Club at the end of July. It vns a Joy to see our teenagers
leading many of the activities and to see many of the ¢hlldren and thelr famllles attend the
Sunday service at the end of the week.
The 'Holiday at Home" event-a speclal day for our older 8eneratlon.
We have contlnued to support Unlted Evenln8 Services wlth our local group of Chur¢hes,
glvlng us the opportunity to support one another and share in different styles of worship.
Provislon of over 70 Shoe boxes for "Cry In the Dark. di5trlbutlon In Romanla
Events to encoura8e donations for the Ipswich Food Bank"FIND.'
In November, we hosted the Tear Fund Bi8 Quiz to support thelr work through local
churches In poor countrles.
Monthly coffee mornings for the local communlty where the proceeds 80 to support the
work of St Ellzabeth Hospice.
At Chrlstmas, the Candlellght Servlce and °Carols round the Pond. were very well attended.
Both are good opportunitles to reach out to our community.

provlde(l opportunities for fellowship and some funl
We give thanks for the blesslng of our Church bulldini. It has become a popular venue for others to
Use as well as a rellable and flexlble buildlng for ourselves and has been blessed with a new
dlshwasher and a new set of entrance doors In autumn 2025.

Athle¥ements and Performwce- ￿n￿n￿e0
We praise God for our Worship team who lead us with such dedlcation and talent each and every
week. The tearn led Make Way 2" a weekend of worship. praise and testlmonies in October, once
again a loy- filled tlme of praise in the Spirit, with uplifting music and words of great encouragemenL
We give thanks for all those who enable our SLbnday morning and regular mid-week activities to take
place. those who lead and those who do all the 'behind the scenes" activltles, not least our superb
catering team. They all comprise the foundation stones of our Church's ministry.
We have continued to provide financial support to the mission organisations and charities shown on
Pa8e 3 in the attached Financial Statements. In our troubled and often violent world this, tO8ether
wlth OLtr prayers, Is a way that we can honour our Saviour and bring hope. We pray that God will
guide the work and prlorltles of all these organ15atlons and that they will have the resources they
need.
Futur• Plans
As we Journey into 2026. we want to continue to develop new ways of reachlng out to the
communlty, connectlng wlth people and sharing God's love wlth them. Ben Wale wlll agaln be wlth
us as our part-time Ministry Assistant. May God open doors and hearts and give Hazel and Ben all
that they need.
We do not know all that Iles ahead in 2026 wlth our plans and hopes but we can be sure that Jesus
wlll be wlth u5 and He wlll dlrect our paths If we let Hlrn and He wlll show us the wav.

The church finances are shown In detall In the followln8 Flnanclal Statements- P•rt B Pages I to 10.
The Statement of Flnanclal Actlvldes IRecelpts and Payments Account) on Page l of the Flnanclal
Statements shows that the day to day activlties are accounted for in the Unrestrlcted (Generall
Funds column, re5ultin8 In a Cash Defitlt of £3,158 for 2025 year and free cash reserves of £76,037
as at 31st De¢ember 2025.
The Budget for 2025 year showed a Deficlt of £15,092. reflecting a signiflcant increase In Mlnlstry
expendlture In order to increase the Outreach capaclty of the church. The Average weekly Givinq
figure for the year was £1,057 per week, In line wlth the Budget flgure of £1,050 per week. Thank
you to 411 mernbers contributing towards the work of the church durlng these dlfflcult tlmes.
We also give thanks for a £5,(hX) legary received In May and together wlth a higher level of Letting
Income from the hiiing of Church premlses and by ensurlng that all Non-pay budgets are spent
vAsely and prudently. the final Cash Deficit In the General Fund was reduced to lust £3.158 for the
year

Reserves pollLy
Unfestritted funds are available for use at the discretion of the Trustees in furtheranee of the
objectives of the church. The Reserves pollcy requlres a mlnlmum level of free cash reserves of 3.5
month5 of annual expenditure whlch currently equates to £2s,L￿. The actual cash reserve5 held at
31 December 2025 bvas £76.037.
As the actual level of cash reserves held is well in excess of the minlmum level, Church Member$
agreed In18te 2024 that the tlrne was right to utilise some of these surplus cash reserves to appoint
a part-tlme Ministry Asslstsnt to increase the Outreach capacity of the church, Inltlally on a 2 year
contract. Thls rolecommenced I" January 2025.
The vislon Is that as thls role bears frult, new members will join the church and all members wlll
prayerfully ¢onslder the support they give for this role, to allow it to be extended beyond the Inltial 2
year perlod.
Desl8n•ted Funds are prlmarily funds set aslde by the Trustee5 for speclfic prolects or to provlde
funds for antlclpated major expendlture In future years. The remalnln8 Le8a¢y Fund brought forward
of £8,176 was transferred to the General Fund during 2025 year to eontrlbute towird5 the costs of
the Mlnlstry aSSiStant appointed on I" January 2025. They also Include actlvlties admlnlstered bv
members of the church. Designated Funds are detailed In Note 11 of the Accounts.
Restrltted Funds are donatlons recelved Subject to speclfl¢ purposes by the Donors as to thelr use as
detslled in Note 12 of the Accounts.
