## **1. Overview of the Charity** 

Kovil Porathive Welfare Association is a charity based in Liverpool, with a dedicated focus on supporting communities affected by poverty and financial hardship, primarily in Sri Lanka. Additionally, we offer assistance to individuals and communities impacted by natural disasters. 

Though the charity was officially registered in 2021, we did not engage in significant activities during the initial period of registration. However, we have recently started organizing charitable initiatives, and we are actively planning for further community outreach and support efforts. We are committed to fulfilling our mission and expanding our activities in the future. 

## **2. Charitable Activities** 

While the charity has not had any large-scale projects in the past years due to limited activity, we have now begun the following: 

- **Supporting communities in Sri Lanka** : Our efforts have been focused on assisting individuals suffering from poverty and financial hardships. 

- **Disaster Relief** : We have extended our support to communities severely impacted by natural disasters in Sri Lanka. 

## **3. Governance and Trustee Details** 

The governance of the charity is managed by the following Trustees:

- **Mrs. Sumathy Krishnappillai** 

- **Mr. Thangarajah Ravi** 

We work collaboratively to plan and manage the charity’s activities, ensuring the funds are utilized for the intended charitable purposes. 



## **4. Financial Status** 

- The charity has submitted its first financial report to the Charity Commission, covering the financial activities to date. We intend to continue submitting all future annual financial reports in accordance with the Charity Commission’s guidelines. 

## **5. Future Plans** 

We are in the process of organizing a charity team to strengthen our operations and begin more structured charitable activities. This includes planning for future fundraising events and expanding our outreach to communities in need. 

We are committed to improving our impact and meeting our charitable objectives. We will continue to submit all future annual reports to the Charity Commission within the prescribed timeframes. 

## **6. Conclusion** 

We apologize for the lack of activities in the past years, but we are now taking the necessary steps to ensure that the charity fulfils its mission. Our trustees are actively working to develop the charity’s presence and outreach both locally and internationally. We look forward to submitting our reports on time going forward and making a greater impact in our community and beyond.
