accessibility for our wheelchair users and for our ambulant athletes lo

have a disabilty. We extended the time of our training sesgon on both
days lo hdp those who needed a lrttle more attention to improve their
skills and fitness.

We have 2 para￿Mplan5 who attended the Worfd Championships in
India and they came away with a GcAd medal in their 400M event.
2025 at Bradford SF¥Nts Awards. saw recognitK)n for Guillaume for
receiving a Bronze medal at the Paris Paralymp￿$ (2024).
Also, recognttK)n for an athlete wrth Downs Syndrome as the first athlete
to be attend￿g the European Championstrups in Prague12025).
Thefe were 2 athletes who competed in their first Equestrian competition,
in Sheffiekl. both came away wth rnedals ar￿ are looking forward to their
next ccxnpelilN)n. The plan is to try and encourage more to tske part in
the EquestrBn club and for them to be atle to have more CVFrf)rtunrties to
cOM￿le.
We continue to fundraise al IL￿al galas atmj encouraged the athletes to
actively take part. This has been a goLxJ way of promoting the club but
also, sh(Miro [x)s￿velY whal peoe can achieve when they have a
disabilty.
We also ncw provide 1 a quarter hour of a swimming trainirYJ session
every week for young and who have a disability. We are Iwking into
providing swimmin9 lessons in additson to a swim training session as we
are cOnstsn￿Y being asked rf we provide swimming lessons for people
with dISa￿litIe
We attend swimming Galas nati￿allY at Special Olympics level with the
group now. We are hoping to widen their scope by registering wrth
England Swim, fwully will be completed in 2025. This is still
orwJoirtsJ.

Equestrian of all those who want to take part, who have a disabilrty.
Aot of the work is behind the scenes, whether preparing information for a
grant or preparing for a compelltion etc...
Some of our volunteers have undertaken training lo support the efficier
and running of the club. Some of the Athletes have taken up iraining to
becom8 Assistant Coache5 and are r¥y4V an imwrtant part of the
Coaching Team.

Section D
Achievements and performance
One Athlete won a Gold Medal in his 400M event at the World Games in
IrKI￿.
Our JunKYs and Senic￿S who were invf(ed to the Championships in
Bimiingham and Sheff ield, all came away with medals.
Every ccfflpelitr(n we have attend&J this year we have come away with
medals.
We ¢(￿tinue to par1icipate in the West Yorkshire Track and F￿d League.

We have over 40 athletes on our IxK)ks and over 20 swimmers. We are
offering 3 physical activities a week. We have atTanged the pricing so
that the more actNities the alhletes do per week, it's offered to them at a
reduced rate. This is encouraging athletes to do more than one physical
activty a week. Some even do all 3.
We are the largest Athle￿$ Group in YcKkshire.
We have a large swimming team now.
One of the swimmers has ￿en ￿CC￿nISed by the paralympic swimming
team and is t*irKJ encouraged to train and cofflpete with the paralympic
team.
2 of our athletes have taken up th*r coaching cert[r￿ate and are active in
the training sessK)ns as coaches.
Rec0jnrt￿n for all athletes, achievements in the fomi of an annual
presentati(￿ and in announcements the group chat and at training,
where appropnate.
Alw. recognrtK)n at the Bradford SpN)rts Awards for recoJnition of
achievements for Paralympic games in Paris and fLY one of our alhleles
who was the only athlete lo compete arKI represent GB with Down's
Syndrome at the Eurcpean Downs Games in Prague.
The Trustees are xtivdy invofved in the club, this is because their
chiklren a￿ invclved in athlelics but r( algj means that they have a better
understandirvj of whal the club needs and of the challenges that many
people with disalylitEs face ￿ a day lo day basis.

managed to raise £6,(KKJ and this was etM)ugh for KevJhley Town CoLtncil
to release the funds for the £10,(KK) late 2025. We can now proceed with
purchasing of the muctrFneeded equipment for the wheelchair users.
