Charity operates within the guidance of the EYA and is managed by a committee. Three of whom are trustees of the charity. 

Employs 9 members of staff, 7 of which have childcare/early years qualifications. 

All employees and committee are DBS checked

In setting our objectives and planning our activities our committee members and trustees have given careful consideration to the Charity Commissions general guidance on public benefit. 

The objectives for our preschool are to provide a safe learning environment through planned activities and supervised play for children of preschool age in Brixworth and surrounding villages.

The year continued with intake levels maintained due to the efforts in the previous year. 

The Pre-school continues to have a healthy staff workforce and have protected employment wherever possible. 

New ideas and strategies were put into place to help build up numbers and to grow the financial strength of the Pre-school.

As recommended by the EYA it is the preschool policy to retain a sum which covers the calculated redundancy liability along with aiming to retain three months expenditure in order to cover any debts should the need for closure arise.

I report to the trustees on my examination of the accounts of the above
charity {'the Trust") for the year ended 31 August 2022.
Responsibilities and
basis of report
As the charity's trustees, you are responsible for the preparation of the
accounls in accordance with the requirements of the Charities Act 2011
i.the Acl°}.
I report in respect of my examination of the Trust's accounts carried out
under section 145 of the 2011 Act and in carrying my examination, I
have followed all the applicable Directions given by the Charity Commission
under section 145(5)(b) of the Act.

I have completed my examination. I confirm that no material matters havè
come to my attention in connection with the examination which gives me
cause to believe that in, any material respect..
the accounting records were not kept in accordan￿ with section 130
of the Charities Act,. or
the accounts did not accord with the accounting records., or
the accounts did not comply with the applicable requirements
conceming the form and content of accounts set out in the Charities
(Accounts and Reports) Regulations 2008 other than any requirem8nt
that the accounts give a Irue and fair, view which is not a matter
considered as part of an independent examination.
I have no concerns and have come across no other matters in connection
with the examination to which attention should be drawn in this report in
order to enable a proper understanding of the accounts to b8 reached.
