Three of whom are trustees of the charity. Employs 9 members of staff, 7 of which have childcare/early years qualifications. The Pre-school continues to have a healthy staff workforce and have protected employment wherever possible. New ideas and strategies were put into place to help build up numbers and to grow the financial strength of the Pre-school. **Section E Financial review** **TAR** June 2023 5 **Brief statement of the charity’s policy on reserves** As recommended by the EYA it is the preschool policy to retain a sum which covers the calculated redundancy liability along with aiming to retain three months expenditure in order to cover any debts should the need for closure arise. **Details of any funds materially in deficit** ## **Further financial review details (Optional information)** Principal funding is obtained through grant funding and fees. Responsibilities and basis of report As the charity's trustees, you are responsible for the preparation of the accounls in accordance with the requirements of the Charities Act 2011 i.the Acl°}. I report in respect of my examination of the Trust's accounts carried out under section 145 of the 2011 Act and in carrying my examination, I have followed all the applicable Directions given by the Charity Commission under section 145(5)(b) of the Act. Independent examinerfs statement I have completed my examination. I confirm that no material matters havè come to my attention in connection with the examination which gives me cause to believe that in, any material respect.. the accounting records were not kept in accordan￿ with section 130 of the Charities Act,. or the accounts did not accord with the accounting records., or the accounts did not comply with the applicable requirements conceming the form and content of accounts set out in the Charities (Accounts and Reports) Regulations 2008 other than any requirem8nt that the accounts give a Irue and fair, view which is not a matter considered as part of an independent examination.
