Para 1.17 | The purposes of the Chapel are the advancement of the Christian faith in accordance with Baptist principles and the Basis of Faith primarily but not exclusively within Llanddewi Rhydderch, Monmouthshire and the surrounding neighbourhood; and such other charitable purposes as shall, in the opinion of the charity trustees, put into practice the Christian faith in accordance with Baptist principles and the Basis of Faith, including but not limited to: the prevention and relief of need, hardship and sickness; the advancement of education; and the provision of facilities in the interests of social welfare for recreation or other leisure time occupation of individuals who have need of such facilities by reason of their youth, age infirmity or disability, financial hardship or social circumstances with the object of improving their conditions of life. |

Para 1.20 | The Chapel services provide a weekly opportunity for Christian discussion and enlightenment. The Family Services (four per year) are particularly appealing and instructional for children and they attract an average congregation of 15 – 20 per service. Special additional services are also held at Harvest an~~d, ~~Christmas . In 2025 a Hymn Singing Service was held in May which attracted 60 people. A Local History Display is held in the Chapel which is open to the public. It records: lives of the villagers in the past, the contribution by members of the village to World War I and World War II and local heroes Life in the village during World War II Evacuees to the village in World War II The development of the village The history of the two local schools The history of the Village Hall Changes in farming The history of the village from the Bronze Age to the Industrial Revolution |
