Para 1.17 | Purpose One To support the establishing of Headucate societies at universities across the UK and assist them in their work, providing a network for university student volunteers to work in tandem as a collective for the betterment of adolescent mental health literacy and awareness. Purpose Two To support mental health awareness and education amongst the primary and secondary school student population through the provision of information sessions, smaller group sessions and flyers surrounding mental health and how to deal with stress. Purpose Three For the public benefit, to promote good mental health, in particular, but not exclusively across primary and secondary schools and other educational institutions in the UK through assisting in the provision of, or directly providing, information and education sessions on mental health and how to handle stress, peer-support networks, mental health first-aid training and other such support and advice. Purpose Four To support the organisation of recreational activities for university students, with the object of improving mental health knowledge and the wellbeing of the persons for whom the activities are primarily intended by encouraging students to take part in social and educational events and volunteering. Purpose Five To act as a resource for people involved with our organisation by providing support and assistance and organising programmes of mental health awareness workshops and other activities with the same purpose. |

Para 1.21 | We have continued the finance policy we have done in the previous years. A part of this is balancing our fundraising and spending practices accordingly. Across the financial period, income exceeded outgoings to result in a net annual income of £5,149.02 (Gross income = £10,660.48). This is expected to serve us well in delivering our charitable goals long term. Part of this success is owed to our establishment of a Just Giving account to support our (and third parties’) fundraising activities. Income from Just Giving donations this period amounted to £6,738.20 - and shall require us to consider how best to utilise this going forward. |
