Introduction** ## **1.1 Charitable Objects** For the public benefit the relief of poverty and hardship among disadvantaged young girls living in Ghana, but not exclusively those who are orphans, through the provision of shelter, food, health, education, and other such charitable services as the trustees may from time-totime think fit. ## **1.2 Overview (Executive Summary)** To ensure disadvantaged and vulnerable young girls in Ghana have life-changing opportunities to thrive through quality Enrichment Activities that improve social-emotional mental health needsimplementing life skills to access Education increasing the ability to defeat poverty in the future. ## 2. Activities & Achievements ## **2.1 Outputs & Outcomes** This is the main section of the Report. Charities are so diverse that it is impossible in a guideline document such as this to identify what the main body the report should say (or doesn’t need to). So add as much text, with sub-headings as appropriate as you think will be of interest and relevance to your readers. Remember to include a comment about any significant/relevant activities or achievements which have occurred since the end of the report period. of ## **2.2 Policies on Grant-Making and/or Social Investments** The charity does not make any grants or make social or programme-related investments. ## **2.3 The Roles & Contributions of Volunteers** As Trustees you have all been the backbone of Welcome Home Foundation, thank you all for agreeing to serve in this capacity. Your commitment has made a difference. ## **2.4 How the Public Have Benefitted** Through enrichment activities, children have had valuable and memorable learning experiences. Enrichment Activities has come with many benefits that has supported their children social, emotional, and personal development. Activities that have stimulated the senses, promoted bonding, and promoted an atmosphere of learning and exploration through play. A major benefit of enrichment activities has been that the children have gained confidence as they are learning new and challenging skills. All games have had a strong intentional focus on improving social and personal skills and that has improved their selfesteem and self-confidence. The children have been able to improve their social skills by working with their peers and problem-solving. _Welcome Home Foundation: Trustees’ Annual Report & Financial Statements_ _Page 3 of 6_ ## **2.5 Performance** Welcome Home Foundation’s CEO arrived in Ghana on 10[th] April 2023 and started deliveries activities on Wednesday 3 May 2023. These activities have been able to continue twice a week for past 24 days. This has included a school trip to Cape Coast. ## **2.6 Looking Ahead** Welcome Home Foundation intends to continue the work with the present school and find other schools within the local area to implement the same Free Enrichment Activities. ## **3.1 Financial Position** This section is ONLY REQUIRED in the CC17 (Accruals) TAR template and NOT in the CC16 (R&P) TAR template. However, the CC16 (R&P) TAR template does include as an option **{O}** a section to show _“how expenditure has supported the key objectives of the charity“_ . That could be interpreted as an “invitation” to include a broader “review of the charity’s financial position”. It is suggested that ALL charities (including those preparing R&P accounts) include at least a brief review of their charity’s financial position at the end of the financial period. ## **3.2 Details of Any Funds Materially in Deficit** The Charity has no funds which are materially in deficit. ## **3.3 Policy on Reserves** All charities are required to report on their Reserves Policy, or to explain why they don’t have one. But reporting a charity “reserve”, and the charity’s policies for managing them, is a classic example of bureaucratic/accountancy obfuscation ( _ie:_ confused, inconsistent & misleading jargon). Which is why so many small charities either have inappropriate “policies”, or none at all. Further information, see Small Charity Support’s guidance leaflet on **Reserves Policies.** ## **3.4 Going Concern** The CC17 (Accruals) TAR template requires an _“Explanation of any uncertainties about the charity continuing as a going concern”_ . The CC16 (R&P) TAR template does not include any requirement or option to report on the “Going Concern” status of the charity. ## **3.5 Principal Sources of Funding** Welcome Home Foundation fundraising has been sort from family and Friends as we have only approved by Lloyds Bank July 2023. ## **3.6 Investments Policy & Objectives** A short review of the charity’s social or ethical investments policies (if any). ## **3.7 Description of the Principal Risks Facing the Charity** The CC16 (R&P) TAR template also includes the option to report on _“…the system and procedures to manage them”_ . ## **3.8 Remuneration of Trustees** All Trustees act in a voluntary capacity and receive no remuneration or other material benefits from their services to the Charity. _Welcome Home Foundation: Trustees’ Annual Report & Financial Statements_ _Page 4 of 6_ Out-of-pocket expenses necessarily and reasonably incurred by Trustees in promoting the purposes of the Charity are reimbursed at cost. ## **3.9 Statutory Statements on Liabilities** The Trustees declare that: The charity has given no guarantees where potential liability under the guarantee is outstanding at the date of this statement. The charity has no debt outstanding at the date of this statement which is owed by the CIO, and which is secured by an express charge on any assets of the CIO ## **4.
