|Summary of the main<br>achievements of the charity,<br>identifying the difference the<br>charity’s work has made to<br>the circumstances of its<br>beneficiaries and any wider<br>benefits to society as a<br>whole.|Para 1.20|-<br>The orchestra provides an opportunity<br>for nearly 100 musicians to benefit from<br>making music together, and has put on<br>5 public concerts, reaching over 1600<br>members of the public.<br>-<br>The orchestra put on a free concert for<br>children and their families, with a range<br>of music. The concert was advertised in<br>schools in disadvantaged areas, and<br>offered children the opportunity to<br>conduct an orchestra, meet musicians<br>and have a go playing different<br>instruments. 300 people attended this<br>concert.<br>-<br>The orchestra took part in a community<br>festival, performing music in a local<br>park, and accompanying a children’s<br>chorus for their performance.<br>-<br>For each term, the charity has<br>continued to sponsor musicians who<br>would not otherwise have been able to<br>afford to play in the orchestra, including<br>a sponsored double bass role.<br>-<br>Our concerts have broadened the<br>scope of music available to the public,|





including music by female composers which have been only rarely performed. The orchestra has commissioned a new work by a young composer, to be premiered in the next season. - Raffles held as part of our concerts have raised £400 for charities.

I report to the trustees on my examination of the accounts of the above charity (“the Trust”) for the year ended **31 / 08 / 2024** . 

**Responsibilities and** As the charity trustees of the Trust, you are responsible for the preparation **basis of report** of the accounts in accordance with the requirements of the Charities Act 2011 (“the Act”). 

I report in respect of my examination of the Trust’s accounts carried out under section 145 of the 2011 Act and in carrying out my examination, I have followed the applicable Directions given by the Charity Commission under section 145(5)(b) of the Act. 

**Independent** I have completed my examination.  I confirm that no material matters have **examiner's statement** come to my attention in connection with the examination which gives me cause to believe that in, any material respect:
