Activities

The Hulse Towers Hedgehog Refuge is comprised of a purpose-built hedgehog hospital where sick, injured or orphaned hedgehogs are treated and cared for until they are well enough to be released back into the wild (or, in the case of some permanently disabled hedgehogs, rehomed into a protected habitat). Outdoor hutches are used for acclimatisation prior to release. We work closely with local Vets.

Objects: For The Benefit Of The Public To Relieve The Suffering And Distress Of Hedgehogs In Need Of Care And Attention By Providing A Rescue, Care And Rehabilitation Service For Sick, Injured, Or Orphaned Hedgehogs With The Aim Of Releasing Such Hedgehogs Back Into The Wild Wherever Possible;to Advance The Education Of The General Public Concerning Hedgehog Welfare And Conservation Through The Provision Of Information And Advice Designed To Increase The Understanding Of The Needs Of Hedgehogs In Their Natural Habitats With The Aim Of Improving The Survival Rate Of The Species.
